So we've gone from:
Targets agreed, before season starts.

To. We want players in by early pre season.

To. We want most our players in by end of the month.

Now the manager has gone all Koeman and demanded signings, and issued the ultimatum. 'If we're to improve this season, we must sign players'.

All gone a bit 'go with what we've got' Moye style hasn't it?

Will the next shout be, 'we can plug the gaps in Jan'.?

Even though we’re reportedly in talks with about 3 players?

He's not done a thing on Zaha or us, for that fact, in a little bit. I assume he's not gotten anything from Kenwright as that's where his info comes from.

I would be really surprised if this Zaha thing has any legs tbh. I really could see us signing Neres. The fact that the fee would be astronomical and would not have a sell-on value (which is usually Brands' M.O.), plus the fact that Silva has consistently stated he wanted a left footed right winger makes me think this is just a rumour.

If there is any truth to it then I would guess;
a) there is a genuine chance of offsetting a large chunk of the fee by offloading players to Palace such as McCarthy, Tosun and Niasse (all of whom have been linked with Palace in the past tbf). Which would then kill two birds with one stone and bring the fee down to be cheaper than a Neres et al.

Or b) we are genuinely struggling to land targets and we have enquired about his availability as a back up option.

Other than those it is surely either agent talk or Palace or Everton using it as a smokescreen to push things along.

Can't wait to start the season with Mirallas at RB and eventually buy Zaha for £90m in January to get us out the relegation zone

Sorry but the best window was definitely Fat Sam’s January with PE Teacher pulling the strings. Tosun for £27m, Walcott for £20m and Mangala (who only played one game for us which we conceded 5 and he scored an own goal) on loan.

The market seems quiet in general. I reckon one big deal is holding everything up. Once it's sorted we'll see loads of late deals across the prem.

Only sauces they have are the ones in the cafeteria amirite?

You're not wrong...
