....things appear to be hotting up and 29th July could be ‘just another Manic Monday’. Here’s this morning’s Toffee Transfer round-up:

- Worth recapping the topsy turvy Wifried Zaha situation: Firstly, Daily Mail Journalist Dominic King told TalkSport a move to Everton wasn’t going to happen because the asking price was too much, whilst The Liverpool Echo continued to suggest the Toffees had no interest in the Crystal Palace winger. Sky reporter Kaveh Solhekol then broke the news that Everton had made a £55m bid for the Ivory Coast international. Following this, King took to Twitter to say a £52m offer had been made, which was followed by a report form his Daily Mail colleague, Tom Calden, saying that the offer had been rejected by The Eagles.

- SportsMole report Palace have told Everton, 26 year old Zaha is not available at any price this summer, whilst The Express reckon Palace are insisting on the whole fee up front. Sky suggest any deal will be ‘cash only’ and not involve other players.

- Sky Sports and other outlets say Everton are in talks to sign Juventus striker, Moise Kean. Juventus want £36m and a buy-back clause for the 19 year old who scored 6 goals in 13 games last season.

- Mundo Deportivo claim Everton have submitted a €40m bid for Barcelona’s 22 year old Brazilian winger, Malcom.

- L’Equipe and RMC say Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye will undergo a medical today ahead of a €32m move to PSG. RMC uploaded a video of the 29 year old Senegal international arriving at a Paris airport.

- According to The Mirror, Everton are keen to wrap up a deal with Mainz for £30m rated Jean-Philippe Gbamin. The 23 year old can operate as a holding midfielder or Centre Back and is also wanted by Wolves. German outlet, ‘Fussball Transfers’, report The Toffees are close to landing the Ivory Coast international who has long been of interest to Liverpool.

- The Star report Everton are prepared to pay £40m for Chelsea midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko. The 24 year old spent last season on loan at AC Milan, and Chelsea are prepared to listen to offers as he has not impressed during pre-season.

- The Express continue to link Newcastle United with a move for Everton midfielder, James McCarthy.

Another thing with Zaha is he is fouled an outrageous amount. I know people will say he dives and to some extent he does but it's also necessary because he very often is grabbed and pushed. I don't like diving but the way the game is refereed currently makes it almost necessary or the other team will take advantage and bully you freely.

This means a lot of dangerous free kicks and penalties. I believe he earned 6 penalties last season which is a huge ability if we actually convert them.

Steven Pienaar-esk

Ye know, that south African who got fouled all the time and blags inaccurate information.

Fingers crossed for some actual action this week.

It almost sounds like if we bid 60mil for zaha and payed the whole lot upfront that thats the deal palace may take, not the rumours of 60mil and player or 50-55mil turned down based on paying over 4/5 years-anyway busy 10 days coming up whatever is going to happen

this Zaha bid kinda throws all my theory’s out of the window. I assumed the talk was BS by either his agent or palace to force Arsenal’s hand. Then I assumed maybe it was Brands trying to get Barca to panic sell Malcom. You don’t bid 55 million for one player in an attempt to lower the asking price for another - if Zaha doesn’t happen now we’ve set a benchmark that other clubs will hold us too. I still can’t see him signing but it makes things these last 2 weeks interesting

You know what happens to natural penalty winners when we acquire them. Andy Johnson got 10+ pens or something the season before we got him. Couldn't get a pen if a defender shot him with an ak47 from then on.

I remember i think it was the head or someone from the FA that say he agreed with us,when we complained that Everton and Johnson should have been giving at least 6-8 pens more for fouls on him

Good point!

Just like with the gerrard/Hibbert fiasco... or any derby for that matter. It doesn't feel better when officials agree we got screwed over.

Palace will need all the money up front as they will need to spend it immediately.

They will get relegated otherwise as Zaha is their only good player.
