Yeah suppose you’re right mate. Kean will be sound he has been learning from quality strikers at Juve so I have every faith the kid will be quality for us. I just think someone like costa would be a decent option when kean has a bad spell which may be likely due to his age and new league etc
It's not a crazy idea. Just think Costa is a big risk bit on and off the field.
 

But, I was wondering how a permanent signing compared to a loan signing works...

Permanent : £30M agreed, wait for medical, understandable.

Loan : £30M not agreed, let's pay £3M, for example, but with a view or compulsory deal to pay £27M to get it over the line...

Is one of those deals easier to get done before TDLD?

I understand your desire for a cheap backup ... but that’s not where we are “supposed” to be heading
Pretty much every backup player in the top six sides would easily get a start on their own merit. If we aspire to that level we need the same squad quality on our bench.
Let Cahill go to Palace and Hodgson’s Darby and Joan bench . We really don’t need him
