Just reported on SSN that he came into Palace training centre this morning but didn't stay long and didn't train with the team. Said his replacement (Augustin) has been lined up but that no further offer has been made by us.

I'm thinking, or rather guessing, that we're still in talks and that Zaha may be on way to Liverpool in anticipation of an agreement. Said this was 50/50 early this morning but now I'd say 30/70. Can't see it happening. The worry is the longer it goes on the less chance we have of bringing in a top draw replacement which would be a big worry.

If a central defender fell through we have Mgabin and Holgate as back up for the first 6 months and I don't consider Mina/Keane as a downgrade on Zouma/Keane. But not bringing in a wide man will see us with just Walcott as cover for Richy and Bernard.

Kean is very comfortable as a wide player in a three also.

Very, very edgy

Come on mate, you know me well enough to know I don't do that

I have never been remotely cool, edgy, counter culture or any of that sort of stuff. I give my opinion, and that's all I do

I think DCL has the skills to make it happen on the wing. He has pace, power, strength and has shown he can put in the leg work needed to succeed in that position. He's grown as a player from when he did it before and I think he could do it now

Would it be my first choice? Of course not, but in a pinch I think he could do it so I'm not overly worried about wing options

I'd much rather us get the CB instead, just because Gibson is still so young and it'd be good to have one more experienced head in there

Nah

It was more likely he was told to leave training for today. The transfer request for both himself and the team is/would be a distraction for what is probably the final full training session before the opening day in 2 days.

So what flavours of Bleach are we looking at here?

I've got a litre of Forest Fresh and a litre of Lemon Zest. Might make a cocktail!
