It's pretty hard to activate Spanish release clauses. For a start the club can't do it. It's the player who has to.

They have to pay in full, and go to the la Liga head office. It's happened about twice in living memory.

Javi Martinez and Ander Herrera

Neymar. Think Luis Figo did it too.

Doesn't happen a lot TBF, you're right

Indeed, we dont know what the Brands model is yet anyway.

We know him and The Mosh have implied that we will target players under the age of 25, but that certainly doesnt mean we will sell EVERYBODY once they reach that age.

So far in this thread Zat has suggested we sell 3 of our better players, 3 first teamers in Keane, Gana and Iceland, which considering we have roughly 25 players we should sell before them is quite baffling.

We shouldnt be selling a single first team player this summer, no matter who and for how much, we need rid of LOTS of players, but none of our better players would be great.
Exactly
You buy players for the first 11 , relegate first 11 players to the bench and sell the dross , of which we have plenty

The logic is that it would likely make us worse. Again, you don't sells someone just because they are of a certain age. Gana is way too important to this team and he'd be REALLY tough to replace.

Keane for 50M would be a great deal, but again, we are lacking in CB numbers.
Sell Keane and we start next season with Mina and A.N.Other
Both unproven in the PL and as a partnership

I think Gana will definitely go and I do think there will be the odd surprise sale from the first team. All them fans coming on here witt their sell lists, basically just selling the loans players are going to be surprised imo.

I think Brands will won’t to generate some good money off players that are in demand.

Siggurdsson I agree with you that I would sell. As I think he doesn’t effect enough games, but I do think he will be here next season, maybe the following summer China or the USA will come in for him.
So our leading scorer doesn’t affect games
Right so

Or he could come here and stink the place out ( as Klassen did ) and lads woulda be crying for Siggy back and calling Brands a big Dutch mallet head
This lad isn't Klassen. Not saying he would slot right in, but he's a different level to Klassen. He's also 3/4 years younger than Siggy so we'd be getting him just as he's entering his prime. There is an element of risk to it though as you say.
