The prem 4th place team had to resort to away goals to advance over an eredivisie team. A league that is repeatedly belittled throughout this thread as having players far inferior to the prem.

The only reason the other leagues are inferior is because of the lack of tv money and publicity. Without that money they don’t get half the best players in the league. No aguero, Silva, Bernardo, aubameyang, Ederson, Hazard, Mane, Sane, Eriksen, Son, and the list goes on.

I imagine how good that Monaco team would have been if they had the money or this Ajax team or even the Wolfsburg team that KDB left.

The league is built on the money it makes which is a lot and makes it then most competitive but it doesn’t make it downright the best

I agree with that but their top teams could beat the prems and vice versa on any day.

And those just outside of their top 3-4 are just as competitive as us.

Also we could be the most competitive but the bottom 3 combined I’m sure had no more than 5 points gained from the top 6 in the prem

The money does make it the best tho, the money and the foren players and managers.

This isnt me being ENGLAND IS THE BEST, its the best cos of the money and the huge influx of foren talent bought with the money.

For me it hasnt been a debate for a number of years.

Sure Real Madrid and Barca will trump every English team with regards pull, but the Premier League is without any question the biggest and best.

Not sure how you could argue that point, theres a reason its watched all over the world.

That Eredivisie team absolutely battered the biggest club in Spain and the world, and knocked out the runaway Italian champions of the last 8 years. Liverpool and Spurs both wiped the floor with the Bundesliga’s big two as well.

It is quite easily better than those leagues.

It's better. It's not THAT much better to the point that the right player can't step in and help us immediately.

It's kinda tough to play for France. He played for Nice last year, too. He's pretty good and would definitely give us some depth and offer some things that we currently do not have in CM.

Anyway.

Imagine being a fan of another club in Germany other then Bayern. Any top talent you have irrespective if they play for the bottom or second placed club will invariably end up at Bayern. They are definitely at the top of the food chain in Germany and prey on all other clubs talent. So sad.

To be fair Hulls old left back has done well, while it’s been some journey from Stoke to the CL final for Shaquiri.

I advocated getting Robertson when he was at hull. Stood out a mile for them (which wasn’t difficult) but his progress at Liverpool has been staggering. Thankfully we have signed a Baines and piennar like replacements in Digne and Bernard for under 20m. For once a bargain.
