Augustin is apparently our main striker target, he has frightening pace, can play anywhere upfront, has amazing skill, but he is not a 20 goal a season guy, but he would be an amazing signing. We have also been strongly linked with Meunier the PSG right back.

I have never seen Augustin play, but can he become a 20goal a season striker? We already have a decent alrounder in DCL, feel like we need a goal hound up front.

His stats are quite hard to follow, due to him not really starting many games anywhere really.

But in 3 seasons he has played a total of 3365 minutes and scored 19 goals in all comps, so thats 19 goals in 37 games.

82 total apps, 32 starts.

So could he score 20 goals in a 38 game season?

Possibly.

Anyway, I have no point, I was just interested in his goals per game ratio.

Mate, go watch some stuff of him, there is a video in the Lookman thread that Goat put up. DCL and Augustin are worlds apart.

Is he a natural cf not a winger playing as one

He prefers to play as a cf so i think it's his natural position, but he can play out wide, he seems to have a bit of a free role in some of the footage you see and because he has such good close control he has no worries coming in from out wide or just straight bearing down on the CB and GK.

Augustin would be better suited as a replacement for Walcott we ideally need someone up top who is more prolific.

Add Fernandes and Gomes to the midfield and we would be much improved going forward.

Get shot of Walcott, Tosun, Schnerderlin, Besic and McCarthy to make room.

This doesn’t shock me. He seems to play quite regularly. Why would you leave that for us?!
