I think signing Bowen could make sense especially if there are no ideal star targets available like Neres or Malcom.

He would not be an immediate star winger like Malcom I hoped for, but IMO he makes sense longterm. He is young, talented, has HG status, is left footed. This year he would compete with Walcott for the place, ideally he beats him for that place quickly. Then next year we hopefully replace Walcott with a player like Neres who may be available and ready for a transfer at that time. The plan for our 4 offensive positions could be like:

AM: Gylfi/Reinier
RW: Neres/Bowen
ST: Kean/DCL*
LW: Richarlison/Bernard

*If DCL does not improve enough, we also should target another striker.

If those young players keep improving, that offensive squad depth could be enough to compete with top 6 teams.

He’s not that good, from what I’ve seen.

I don't think he's very good. Scores a bit but not sure he offers much else and I don't think he gets nearly as many in the PL. I'd let someone like Villa give him a run in the top flight first.

Think it is just me having wet dreams mate. He was linked to United and now slaphead is going there I, very much tongue in cheek, suggested it improves our chances of getting him. Not seen any official links.

Malcom's agent ruined him so far. What a waste of a season after his breakthrough. Throughly deserved though because his agent was trying to get back at Roma with a disagreement at the time. Bet then Roma fans waiting at the airport for him feel a bit better.
