Heatons last Premier League appearances was in season 19/20 for Villa, that season they finished 17th and conceded nearly 70 goals in 38 games!

He hasnt improved since then!

Luckily for them he didn`t have to play.. I think Butland was probably ahead of Heaton, Butland just gone to Rangers...

Heaton is a good GK, just at the end of his career and his only role is as a backup. Backup GK is probably the most difficult position to fill in a football club. You need a decent GK that will be happy to only pay for the odd cup game. Butland is still a GK that can play in the 1st 11. I would love him as a backup GK but he will want to play football

He also busted his knee on Jan 1st that season against Burnley and didn't play again and we had Jed Steer in goal from Jan to May

Its a bit silly blaming Dyche. I am sure he wants Young in but I would be fairly certain that if he was given a budget of 40m for a new LB he would have a different LB as a target. Dyche can only work with the budget he is given. Ash is not a bad player for no transfer fee and probably about 35k/40k a week.
