Does it make any difference Zat?These look like yesterdays rumours ?
Morning mates.
Welcome to the 11th July Everton transfer show…..
I’ve tried to bundle together as many of the transfer rumours flying around, combining them into one bite size and heart burn inducing portion for your dining pleasure.
I make some apology for some of the sources and articles used.
Everton are interested in21-year-old Manchester United and Sweden forward Anthony Elanga. (Foot Mercato - in French)
Everton have a made an offer to Almeria to bring El Bilal Toure to Goodison Park. According to the Daily Mail, Almeria were surprised to receive an offer for El Bilal Toure from Everton. The Toffees put forward a loan-to-buy deal for the striker, who they can’t afford to buy outright with an upfront payment.
Everton have reportedly re-opened talks with Arnaut Danjuma over a potential summer move. This is according to Teamtalk, who say the Toffees are looking to sign the Netherlands international once again.
Demarai Gray is now “in talks” with Al Hilal over an Everton exit this summer with the club ready for further bids on the squad, i News reports.
The Toffees winger has interest from within the Premier League from Fulham [Sky Sports, 10 June] and Crystal Palace [Daily Mail, 2 July] but is currently negotiating a possible departure to the Saudi Pro League after the PIF-backed club came in with a sizeable offer.
Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers has shared the latest on Everton’s transfer pursuit of Leeds United attacker Rodrigo this summer. He claims that a move for the Spaniard is not completely dead but Saudi Arabian links make things difficult for the Toffees.
Everton have essentially secured further investment to be made in the Goodison Park outfit when a deal is concluded with MSP Sports Capital in the near future, journalist Paul Brown has told GIVEMESPORT.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ashley Youngs medical is imminent, and he is in line to become Dyche’s first signing since he became manager in January.
But, Paul Brown feels it's a “mistake” to bring Young to Merseyside due to his age and criticises his lack of “sell-on value.”
Sales have already been made and more could follow, as Mark Douglas writes in his Tuesday (11 July) report for i News: “Everton sold Ellis Simms to Coventry for an initial payment of £3.5m while Ishe Samuels-Smithmoved to Chelsea for £4m.
“But the club are open to offers for other players, with Demarai Gray in talks with Al-Hilal and interest in midfielder Amadou Onana, who may be sold for the right price.”
Willy Gnonto absence and transfer probability explained as Leeds United star linked with Everton. Gnonto has not travelled with the Leeds United squad to Norway for the club’s first pre-season friendly of 2023/24 but that is due to his involvement at the Under-21 European Championships last month.
Gnonto’s absence is unrelated to links originating in Italy this week which have suggested he will join Everton in a £22 million transfer. The YEP understands Leeds are yet to receive a bid from Everton but their resolve to keep Gnonto will be tested this summer, whether by the Toffees or another top flight club in Europe.
Mason Holgate is a transfer target of Southampton who have reportedly begun negotiations over a potential transfer of the defender. The 26-year-old has been the subject of media speculation since the 2022-23 season ended, with some outlets reporting that Everton are happy to field offers for him as they seek to trim their squad in certain areas to bolster others.
Everton are not advanced in their interest in Leeds United’s Willy Gnonto and Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma, with nothing imminent regarding a move to Goodison Park, according to Sky Sports News.
Everton have tried to engineer a swap deal to sign Arsenal target Adam Wharton from Blackburn Rovers. Adam Wharton is wanted by Everton but their attempts to secure a swap deal don’t seem to have gone anywhere.
Everton want to sign Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria ahead of West Ham, Marseille and Nice according to Gazzetta Dello Sport (July 11, pg 5).
Zakaria spent last season on loan at Chelsea but struggled to break into the team and has since returned to Juventus, but is expected to leave the club.
And another blank day. These look like yesterdays rumours ?
Thanks mateGreat work Bob
Sorry mate…These look like yesterdays rumours ?
Last season we dragged our heels and essentially sabotaged our first 5 games and picked up 3 points. We drew at home to Forest and away at Leeds. It set the tone for the season as an uphill struggle.
Looks like we are doing the same.
Don’t you think Burnley played to his strengths and then he played for a top 4 Side With much better players who’d create more. And he got 2 goals across both seasons over 37 games.with the big difference we would play to his strenghts by whopping balls in the area, where Maupay wont win any header against a centre back in the box (unless Gnonto is marking him lol).
Why should we play to the strengths of a horrendous center forward.with the big difference we would play to his strenghts by whopping balls in the area, where Maupay wont win any header against a centre back in the box (unless Gnonto is marking him lol).
Who?Looks like moreno is now moving to Saudi Arabia for sure...Shame as it would have been a good attacking option for us
if he comes i really hope he will prove his doubters wrong. Has a good strike tally except the UK. Bit strange he did not score many at Burnley. But at Man Utd it was maybe too big a leap for him. He will fit right in hereWhy should we play to the strengths of a horrendous center forward.
RodrigoWho?
Agreed. We definitely need to make some additions as a matter of urgency. The major problem is the need to sell to buy and probably needing to wait for the TV money. Brutal times and another season of pain and wheeling dealing before FFP loosens up a bit.
Ah, this will be a problem though with the Saudi money pumpingRodrigo
