Summer transfer window 2023

Elanga, Gnonto, Danjuma. All predominently Left sided players. Which is McNeils position.

Maybe Dyche is looking to move McNeil to the right.

Or central, hes very good and underrated inside, he usually cuts in to central positions, he has vision, he can break a line, he can penetrate and shoot from distance and he can drift left or right for the overload.

Holgate
Iwobi
Maupay
Gray
Possible onana

I think these will be gone by the close of the window.

Danjuma
Elanga
Gnonto
All being heavily linked at the moment,
The only two most likely to go imo, no one else will be dumb enough to pay Iwobi’s wage, Maupay will leave on loan if anything and not till Deadline Day and Onana will stay as Chelsea, Arsenal and United have that area tied up so don’t need him and atm he isn’t good enough for City

Be amazed if Holgate leaves permanently mate - maybe on loan - no way anyone is giving him 70k a week elsewhere and at the level of clubs that would be interested.

Unless the lad wants to play football and half his wage - which would seem unlikely to me.

Would have the opposite opinion myself mate, Harrison improves us drastically and would be a big player for us, adds significant threat, penetration, danger and creativity and you hang your hat on him for contribution of goals and assists on the left side at this level. Hes established and underrated and value if his release clause is accurate.

We can take on a degree of risk with signing one or two young players, objectively neither Gnoto nor Engala have been first team regulars, liken them to Garner, good signings with potential - but we didn't see him until the far side of March or Onana who was a bit boom and bust (you expect that from signings of his profile) - my.

point is, in the main we need players who can impact right out of the box.

26! Perfect age. Hes 12 years younger then our last singing. lol

It needs and wants really, we are badly in need of what Harrison offers right out of the box.
Harrison is right now a better player , and less of a risk than any of those players.
Easier to fit in.
Some might have higher ceilings in the future so depends on if we take the gamble.
I would be happy with Harrison or any of the others to be honest

If we could strike a balance and get Harrison and one or the other younger one - id be happy mate. God knows we need anything to influence goals and threat.

I just feel we need somebody established, experienced and who you can hang your hat on in the PL to contribute straight out of the box and take it on immediately, we're in a risky position short term.

Iwobi only has a year left on his contract we either sell him this window or he goes for free.

West ham is the only club I can see onana going to now, as they have money and playing in Europe

Season is getting closer.

Some winnable games in the first 6-7 matches.

Likelihood is we pick up about 4 points and then bring in some average players on TDD. And repeat the dross from the previous two seasons.
We might get another two in by the 12th. Whether one is a forward or not who knows.

Either way it will be another panicked rush-job and we'll end up with whomever or not.

The club might say their hands are tied but if we're in a position where we are desperately scrambling for players at the end of August, as will almost certainly be the case, then that's not the definition of a plan or strategy, in any way, shape, or form.

There is a huge risk again that we'll end up badly exposed and with a critical lack of goals.

Pickford

Patterson Tarkowski Branthwaite Myko

Garner Onana

Dele

Danjuma Calvert Lewin. Gnonto

Subs: McNeil, Elanga, Iwobi Doucoure, Gueye, Godfrey, Young, Coleman, Virginia

Let’s be having you
Bizarre. What form has Dele shown to justify a place in the team? A heartbreaking interview doesn't mean anything when it comes to matters on the pitch .
And why drop our most productive player of last season for a guy that turned us down and will probably sign for either Feyenoord or Milan?
Sadly also wishful thinking to believe that DCL will be able to play a full part this season. He hasn't for the last two.
Finally when did we sign Gnonto?
