Think there might be a bit of interest from somewhere still. With the shyte about to lose two midfielders that's them, Chelsea, United, West Ham and possibly even Arsenal all still looking for players with Onana's type of profile and all with the ability to spend.
I reckon he will still be here next season. I think the bigger teams noticed his form tailed off and want to have another look at him over next season before making a move.

I’m gonna say none of those will bid for him.
I reckon someone will, whether it's enough for us to accept is another matter. Caicedo, Lavia and Onana are the main young DM types about and that's not enough to satisfy demand, not sure there's too many options from abroad and a lot of players are being taken off the table by the Saudis.

Not to break the mood, but Im thinking Gnonto ends up signing next, then some loan move for someone like Elanga. I think Rodrigo would have been a great cheap deal to keep some funds free but from the sounds of it that ship has sailed.

Then I think a deal for a striker drags on a bit, they get a CB, and they only bring in another wide player if they sell Gray. One top 6 reject midfielder on loan.

The Rice deal is a massive eye opener for those like Zat who think Everton can pay on the never never for players. He has signed a 5 year contract but notwithstanding Arsenal have to pay £100 million over 24 months .
Now you realise why Everton can't sign players for fees. Of course the selling club can agree to accept a longer payment schedule but why would they?
