Last year I was so angry.

This season (just gone) it’s started to affect me much much less. Had accepted relegation. Wife asked me if I’ll be alright if we did go down before Bournemouth. A year before it would have been a solid no, deadly serious.

I don’t know what’s harder, accepting we are nothing these days and not letting it destroy my soul, or having blind hope and dealing with the disappointment!

We are fizzling away to nothing but i cant not have optimism
I cant hope for 17th next season i just cant regardless of how much of a mess were in.

The love affair with Everton remains the same and always will but you develop thick skin with the accumulation of disappointments they deliver to us fans.

Football is dying, the passion is fading, loyalty has gone the more and more money gets pumped into it (hypocritical really me saying that) as i want Everton to spend millions to get us back to the top.

I have said this before but supporting Everton is probably more of a habit i cant kick or don't want to kick than a passion.

I hate loving them and i love hating them.

Has no idea what it means. Has no idea how disastrous relegation would be.

Has no idea what person she would see if we would actually win something.

It's hard for anyone to be optimistic at the moment.

Optimistic for me is us staying above that dotted line until the stadium move.

It's HORRENDOUS that a club like Everton is in that position. While we have no divine right of being in the top division, A club of our size simply should not be there.

Thats about 30k/week? That seems....low.

Sometimes the way it’s structured the wage increases each year.

He’s currently on £20k a week, so it’s a decent increase for the lad anyway

Hes hit and miss but I think when he puts details about price and such hes usually okay.

He was first with ancelotti coming to us iirc but I've seen him get stuff massively wrong as well.

That last line sums it all up. I will always be an Evertonian but these days I definitely endure them more than enjoy them.
