Well that depends, he’s using doucoure in that attacking role who will probably leave next summer and why he’s can run and get in the box a score a few goals, he’s a poor technical player, Iwobi can play that role if he stays. But I’d like to see us buy the odd youngster for now and the future

….we won’t have a future if we don’t bring in effective attackers.

Doucoure
Onana
Gueye
Garner
Gomes
Gbamin...

...Iwobi can play CM...

...We will likely see one of Warrington or Onyango be promoted to the first team.

Now, while I too would love Everton to sign young talented players, please, after reviewing the above information can you tell me why Everton should be using their very limited budget on a young CM?

Striker, winger and CB are the priorities.
Onyango is already 20 and has struggled on two loans in the lower leagues . He won’t be at Everton come august and will never play for the first team ever. Apparently the club will sell Warrington for a decent offer.
Gbamin nowhere to be seen and has sold all his gear. Gomes has a year left and will most likely be sold.
Iwobi has a year left and refusing to sign a new deal

And then there was 3

….not seen us even linked. From what I can see he’s a midfielder & if we’ve got £20m to spend then surely our priorities lie elsewhere.
Seems like we are awaiting sales of players like Gray and Holgate etc before being able to splash actual money
Hoping we are kept waiting weeks for these sales…

Harrison is nearly 27 and plays mainly on the left when I’ve watched Leeds, he’s a good player, but is he really a big improvement on what we’ve got and unlikely to improve loads now. At least Elanga and Gnono are young and both could be anything going forward.

I personally don’t like us signing average to good at best, players who are around the 27 age bracket. We’ve been stuck with a number of them in the past

Hes 26 I think and has played all over.

Also think its harsh to say hes worse than average. He was probably Leeds best player, who had a better attack than us.

Onana, Doucoure, Gana and Garner is 4, no? If we sell Iwobi, Warrington and Onyango we can probably bring 1 in on a permanent and get a loan in?

I think "resigned apathy" is probably the most accurate. I remember throwing things after that Bournemouth match where Barkley scored in like the 96th minute, mini pitch invasion and then they literally walked down the other side and scored against us. I barely even react when a goal is scored for or against us these days.
Last year I was so angry.

This season (just gone) it’s started to affect me much much less. Had accepted relegation. Wife asked me if I’ll be alright if we did go down before Bournemouth. A year before it would have been a solid no, deadly serious.

I don’t know what’s harder, accepting we are nothing these days and not letting it destroy my soul, or having blind hope and dealing with the disappointment!

I think it’ll be a scramble on deadline day again for the best/most affordable loan deals left.

Right now - we need a centre back, two widemen people and two strikers as a minimum.

I’d say we need another midfielder if the outs are expected happen in that area (gomes/Gbamin/Warrington/onyango/dele)
