You’re missing my point. Moshiri is no longer trying to make a success of Everton (because that would involve risking further (vast) millions that he may (or may not) have). He’s given up (imo) and is selling assets and banking on Dyche to get us to Bramley Moore where he stands best chance of clawing as much back as he can.

But remember those players that were on loan such as Alli, Gomes, Gbamin, Virginia were all having portions of their wages paid and now we are back to paying them in full. On top of anyone brought in.

I don’t even think Elanga will sign for us either, I don’t think Weghorst will be that bad as a back up, we could do with a big lump to come off the bench, upgrade on Maupay
