Yeah, 10m or so for a guy just hitting his peak would be shrewd business. Probably more potential long term upside in younger investments but we know our goals for the season and we need players who can hit the ground running.

Got to strike the balance between right now and the future, you look at Southampton and Leeds and there was bags of potential in those squads but potential didn’t get them the results they needed to survive. Got to strike a balance and if we can combine instant impact guys like Danjuma and Iheanacho with hopefully a couple of younger high ceiling players we’ll have done that.

All being true to speculation mate, we will have spent 13.5 mill for the season ahead (so far) on:

Danjuma
Young
Iheanacho

Fair bit of value, options and utility for the squad there.

Don’t think we are finished either.

The only game in town is survival until we are in BMD. We’re in our own league in the bottom 10, is my take mate.

Not quite that simple, like.

In order to sell him, there needs to be actual interest in buying him. He’s the kind of player than not many decent clubs would queue up to sign for actual money, but that could probably command a decent signing on fee at a middling club on a free.
-plus he needs to agree to it. Can’t see it any other way than moving on a free next yr with c€20m signing on bonus in Saudi!
