Obviously has to get done first but genuinely adding Danjuma, Gnonto and Iheanacho to this squad instantly makes us comfortably mid table aka not relegation threatened.

Defending has never really been our problem and honestly Dyche could probably play Michael and Will Keane at centre back and get a result so I have absolutely no fears of relegation if we get these all done.

The fact they could all be done soon too is crucial. Gets them all in for the majority of pre-season and gives us a chance to use the market to maybe find a creative midfielder and centre half reinforcements.

With these lads coming in as well it could potentially lead to McNeil as a sort of #10 which he’d excel at in my opinion. Also hopefully we can reintroduce Dele and get him back to his best or at least where he’s enjoying football again. He may just be the answer to a lot of our issues too and he’s already at the club.

Genuinely massively positive signs for us going into this season if we can get them all over the line.

is gnonto just rumours? we still need more atm and we have to keep the squad from now and NOT sell anymore

We have/had a sort of just about acceptable defence and a good keeper for a while. Bit clumsy and mistake ridden but better than some teams around us. But it’s been our total lack of firepower that means opponents completely disregard our formation, our key players and our attacking patterns (😂) and just set up to try and score and win. Every week. Our defence is under so much pressure and has no out ball, and teams commit extra players to attack because they know if we have a chance to counter, our players often just trip over their own feet.

If we somehow manage to cobble together a forward line that offers a genuine scoring threat on the cheap, even our mediocre defence will have things much easier, especially at Goodison.

El Nut “confirmed” it a while ago with Iheanacho. As for the squad I think we can definitely trim it. I’d go and get Dembele on a free as well and basically spend the rest of the summer slashing the squad to whoever will buy.

In a squad with those attacking options the likes of Gray and Iwobi aren’t really needed if we can get money for them, regardless of incomings you’d also expect Holgate at least to go along with whatever we’ll be doing with Maupay, Gomes and Gbamin. This squad can be trimmed a lot and replaced with youngsters at worst without losing much quality in my opinion.

Exactly. Obviously they’re a much better side than us but Brighton finished 6th and conceded 5 less goals than us. They scored nearly 40 more though. We’re not a terrible team defensively, in fact we’re pretty solidly mid table, the problem was more often than not teams only had to score 1 and shut up shop because we hadn’t a hope in front of goal.

All these signings, even Young in a way, address that. Get the ball in and around the goal more often.

I hope to Christ too that we train Garner on set pieces a lot more this year, he’s supposed to be a bit of a specialist and aside from that spell under Ancelotti we’ve been crap at all set pieces, defending and attacking for over a decade now.

There's no way I'm saying no to Iheanacho. And after desperate weeks it's really relieving to hear some good news but ngl I was really hoping for Brobbey,El Touré or Dia.

Best Iheanacho moment was when he boiled the kopite’s heads by going through one on one with the City keeper after Kompany had just snorted that shot in to keep the title in their hands and put his shot so deliberately laughably wide that everyone knew exactly what he’d done. Top trolling.

What would you say he is like honestly dont really remember much about him.

Clever player, technical with good movement. Not one to lead the line though especially if we are throwing balls into the box.

I think he's exactly the right fit.

It's obvious Dom is the Numero Uno CF , so to sign another he has to be able to not kick off if Dom's name is the first on the team sheet.
He will get plenty of game time and will start a fair share of games taking all the onus off Dom.
He can come in seamlessly score and assist .

He is just what we need atm.

Not for me solely as we cant rely on Dom's fitness so he could be a replacement for Dom a good portion of the season and its not like for like, they have different styles.

As a second striker, link up player type yes. But if he's the only striker we bring in i'll be concerned.
