Surprised nothing has come out in the press yet about iheanacho. Usually you see leaks from players agent or selling club well before a medical is lined up. Really gone under radar if this gets wrapped up soon.
Agree with thisAll things considered would be happy with Danjuma, Iheanacho, and Gnonto. Still need a CB and LB and a backup GK. I'd settle for CB / GK options, probably on loan on deadline day.
If we did all that, and retained Onana, then I think it's a decent window for us. There is a lot of ifs there though.
I remain under no illusions about where we are, but with Dyche having had more time to get his ideas across, new players and attacking options, and possibly some comparatively weaker sides being promoted, there would be some cause for cautious hope.
The task is to get to BMD as a PL club. Simple as that. We have to get those players in, starting with Danjuma.
Pretty much this, you can't address issues without honest self reflection, I would hope the higher ups are doing that rather than dreamily thinking back to signing Alan BallI don't think it'd be a "how far we've fallen" type signing at all. That was Rondon. For me Iheanacho would be a very decent "traditional" Everton signing, not flashy, not too pricy, but very solid and practical. We used to do that well and forgot about doing it for a few years.
If standards have slipped from paying 25m for some donkey from Besiktas I'm all for it.
CB concerns me, we all the saw the difference with and without Mina, especially in the run in.All things considered would be happy with Danjuma, Iheanacho, and Gnonto. Still need a CB and LB and a backup GK. I'd settle for CB / GK options, probably on loan on deadline day.

One clubs loss is another clubs gain.....hopefully us in this case.Looking at the Leicester forum, they are gutted at him leaving, more so than a few high profile others. He’s very well liked and regarded and the general feel is he got a raw deal at he club.
The worst comments are resignation, like us with Richarlison an acceptance that he has to go to raise funds pragmatically.
Same as Villa fans with Young that. Always a good sign.Looking at the Leicester forum, they are gutted at him leaving, more so than a few high profile others. He’s very well liked and regarded and the general feel is he got a raw deal at he club.

Agree with this, I like the look of Brainthwaite but at his age I doubt he raises other players like Mina does, he was constantly talking and raising up Garner from RB, being the one to get the faces of the oppo no matter who they are. Him and DCL in the team change a lot of players around themIf Keane is anywhere near the team this season , we’ll be in trouble again.
If Dyche hadn’t seen sense and dropped him for Mina, we’d almost certainly have been relegated.
Think we'll still see a CB in, think Branthwaite will be good but think Dyche will want another reliable option.CB concerns me, we all the saw the difference with and without Mina, especially in the run in.
Once we’ve got the necessary forward options over the line, we can’t let a situation like last year emerge with the next priority ignored. We need a defender. If Keane is anywhere near the team this season , we’ll be in trouble again.

Then as well as punting Holgate I'd like to see them consider loaning out Godfrey to a club/ league where he'll get consistent games at CB - I still like him and think at 25 he still has time to come good but between injuries and being constantly shifted positionally he's not had the run of games to progress from the player he looked under Ancelotti. Send him somewhere like Leeds or Celtic, or even France or Holland and get him a season under his belt then re-assess.

As others have said, we’re quite discretely getting deals done and with Dyche favouring a resolute defence, you’d hope it would be done soon.
