Impossible to say. Probably some of both, but he never got the kind of run in the Prem he would have needed to develop. Pushing players around in the Bundesliga is one thing, but is another in the Prem. Without a doubt, the injuries ruined any shot he had.Did the injuries ruin Gbamin or was he just another poor piece of recruitment ultimately?
Even when fit we had a few managers who never considered him a realistic option, even when we were massively short.
Also seems like he hasn't really planted any big flags out on loan - laterally in Turkey i think hes been in and out of the team.
Would snap hand off for 15 million. That would go a long way towards curing problems this summer.i'd accept 15 pence for Maupay to be honest! it would be staggering if we actually got 15 mill for him..
Be a bit fair fetched to think we could do anything with Shalke with Gbamin and the Krauss lid, wouldnt it....
Be stunning if we managed to get Gbamin, Gomes and Dele off the wage bill this summer.....
It would be unprecedented if we got 2 pesos for Maupayi'd accept 15 pence for Maupay to be honest! it would be staggering if we actually got 15 mill for him..
Updated transfer rumours...
Beto from Udinese linked by Sky £30mil.
El Bilal Toure fee rumoured to be £35mil per the daily mail.
Maupay linked to Salernitana again £15mil per the Daily mail.
Shea Charles from City linked.
Yeah, I don't get the meme but he's quick, tricky and has resell value. He's looked bright for Leeds this season and has loads of potential.
Just had a gander... He's scored 2 pens and 3 direct free kicks this season, so more than half of his goals. His stats are really consistent though mate so seem less dependent on variance like decisions awarded- i actually didnt look and see what % of goals are set pieces - do you know?
I see him going for about 40 mill tbh - its the going rate for his profile. Teams will want him for sure and you are buying double digits or close to it coming from central midfield - probably more given he will be moving to a better team with better players.
He doesn't convince me tbh
Signed for £12mil on a 3 year deal so anything above £8mil is profit on the booksi'd accept 15 pence for Maupay to be honest! it would be staggering if we actually got 15 mill for him..

Forgot about the failures we've been hiding abroad, Dele, Gomes, Gbamin, Nkounkou.
Simply got to get the wages off the books, unless of course Dyche wanted to take a look at them (you never know).
I think Gomes might be easiest to shift as he's had a decent season in France (wages obviously could be a stumbling block)
Dele and Gbamin I think we'll struggle and will again be loans to see out their contract.
Gbamin's agent giving it socks:
"We will have to find another project for him. I am the one who chose Everton for him because it would have been a stepping stone to move on elsewhere.
"There was interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and even Jurgen Klopp wanted to sign him for Liverpool six months before but now Jean-Philippe wants to go back to Germany."
Kean I think we got lucky and Mina was plagued with injuries and had issues before we purchased him (I think) plus his salary was insane. Some shocking purchases there hahaha
Harsh on Kean as we got our money back and mina who has served us well. The rest though WOW
The most they have ever spent on a player is 7m euros, they aren't paying us 15m for maupay.Maupay linked to Salernitana again £15mil per the Daily mail.
I really hope Dyche doesn’t want to “take a look” at Gomes.
