Summer transfer window 2023

I can welcome Danjuma on loan. I would have had some issues on the permanent compared to other options but uncommitted its a justifiable mercinary. That said Thelwell still needs striker cover and goals broadly. I understand funds are limited but I also think we underrate the level of investment needed for additions.

Take Greek/Utrecht striker Anastasios Douvikas. Dutch numbers a fair distinction but with with 20 goals, 4 assists over 34 apps at 23 theres deserved intrigue. He is being rumored with the likes of Rangers, Monchengladbach and Galatasaray for 7 million.

I don't mean to say he specifically would be a great signing but broadly the profile and price should be a circled target or at least demonstrate viability regardless of financial restraint. The fact we are rarely linked with akin values and production across Europe seems like a poor management of a shortlist in regards to our leverage or lack there of.

If he have limited resources fine, but the transfer policy has to reflect that. The obsession with domestically proven commodities who have limited sell on potential is going to cost us in the long run. Throw cheaper sums at more darts.

45 millions in the red for the last season according to football insider despite selling Gordon and kean...surely that can't be right? But if this is the case, then there is simply no money for signings and at best we can hope for is to make another big sale this summer to give us something to work with.

Not really. They went down, we didn't

If thats the case, then can't we say that if we got rid of Frank earlier, we'd of been better off ?
Dyche hardly set the world on fire tbf and got very lucky with keeping us up. Leicester bombed under Rodgers and man for man were much stronger than Everton, just they weren't playing at all for the manager. Doesn't matter anyway as they went down and we stayed up, just sayin'. Moot point really, but I'd still take a good number of the players from their current squad: Justin, Souttar, Daka, Castagne, Dewsbury-Hall, Iheanacho.
