I am trying to get my head around being told by a source close to one of the players that Dyche chose to retain Dobbin in the squad at this stage and send Cannon back out on loan not vice versa. Dobbin may eventually wind up out on loan if we sign a couple but Dyche has looked at them both and preferred to retain Dobbin. Not sure many of us would have reached the same conclusion but he’s an established manager so we have to trust his judgement. Cannon is watching Preston again tonight.

I don’t know much about either of them but as far as I know they don’t play in the same position or do the same things at all so it’s not like he’d be saying one is better than the other just that one of them might be useful for what we need and the other one not so much. I think more people were talking about dobbin than cannon a year ago too but now cannons loan went better the tables have turned.
