Hey Bro. I'd have Vardy all day over Maupay and Gray as our main outlet. On the wain - yes. Still got goals in him. Short term deal wouldn't hurt especially with DCL being so brittle !
Vardy's legs have gone. It's a big reason why Leicester have gone down. He's also on an enormous wage at Leicester.

It should be a NO on that one

Yeah but with his wealth he's already set for life, so his CV isn't all that important to him.
Well if that’s true of him, then fair enough.

But the best players want to play at the highest level, the money is just a bonus.

We’re both supposing he’s not in that ambitious bracket, but reasonably there’s every chance he saw Spurs as an opportunity to play with some top-drawer players and challenge at the top end of the league.

Whichever is true, he’s done his career no favours this season.

I agree at moderate wages, but we should still be buying a right back (and left back). Don't think we can rely on the fitness of Coleman and Patterson.

….the injuries to Patterson are a concern but I think Dyche was encouraged by his performances. Patterson/Coleman seems an ideal pairing for RB, especially with Garner proving an able deputy.

We certainly need a LB, although I’d love to see Samuels-Smith getting into the squad next season.

….that’s a very low bar. Surely we need to set our sights higher than Vardy, Maupay or Gray as a central striker. Vardy will be 37 next season, 3 goals in 37 games, brings lots of baggage with him and is obviously on the wane. It wouldn’t be a step forward if we signed him.

it’s a dreadful shout.

Not for me. I like Patterson also but you couldn't guarantee he would make 50% of matches, whilst Coleman is clearly getting on. I was impressed like everyone else with Garner but ultimately he's played a game and a half at wing back against Wolves and Bournemouth. It's a world away from going up against Son/Saka/Grealish etc as an orthodox fullback. I'd like to see him as s regular at centre mid.

Like what you've said in the past about Samuels-Smith. Certainly should be building a pathway for him.

That he'd be a better option than Maupay and Gray. Nailed on. Anyway, opinions. Who'd you sign with our limited budget ?

…I’d be very surprised & disappointed if Coleman isn’t offered a new deal. His level of performance is decent & his influence us vital, especially if Mina and Coady are not in the dressing room. Dyche will certainly want him.
If Seamus is staying on and starting regularly next season then it is a clear indication to me that sentiment comes before professionalism at Everton again.

He did well last season and he’s been a model professional. But his time is up, as is Townsends, it’s time to move forward.

We can’t rely on Patterson so we need a new right back IMO.

It still baffles me why strikers arnt queuing up to join us, especially players who are not wanted by their parent clubs like Danjuma. We literally have 1 striker who plays half a season at best. Any player wanting an opportunity to make a name for themselves in the premier league would pretty much start every game for us. Danjuma was only ever going to get the odd 5 minutes with spurs...
The lure of London and Champions League footy is what ultimately turned his head, like it does loads of players from abroad.

Yeah, I reckon also, giving him the benefit of the doubt. Can’t blame the lad for backing himself, even if he did also shaft us in the process, the snide. Alas, he fell flat on his face. Never mind.

This is exactly it. It’s also what we have to play on. Everyone wants to play in London but we can provide a platform to show how good you are in the best league in the world rather than sit on the bench… and we won’t stand in Your way if a non-Liverpool club comes in with a huge bid.
