Summer transfer window 2023

What worries me a little bit is the transfer embargo we’re about to get handed. Twinned with the contract status of 70% of our first team, what do we look like squad wise in 2 seasons time?

We’ve already started with the ‘well we tried’ lines..
I know there are constraints but there is more than a whiff of serious incompetence too. Kev might have a nose for a player but he ain’t got the pull when it comes to taking his pick..

“It’s a tough market,” Dyche said. “There’s only so much that we can do so we’re working very hard — I can assure everyone of that — to construct deals that can work.

Asked whether he was confident of doing any business soon, the Everton manager added: “We’ll see. There’s no exact moment until it’s over the line. There’s been situations we’ve been in where we thought we were going to get it over the line and we don’t, and that’s the way it goes."

Horrendous.

Sound so any youth that doesn’t score 30 on loan we instantly bin as not good enough for the first team.

Or, and this might be a crazy idea, we let the coaches and manager decide.

lol we let the coaches and manager decide? Like I am threatening to make the decisions for him. No one said anything about 30 goals did they? Standards have got so low you are wanting a 3 goal a season in League One striker to be getting minutes for us in the PL.

“We showed in the second half of the season that we needed to find different ways of scoring goals and we’re going to have to do that going forwards, that’s part of football.” Dean Dyche.

I'm sorry, but three seasons on the spin of relegation fights breaks this club.

If there's no additions up front there will be all out war on the terraces against those that govern this club.

No confidence there...

If that doesn't scream Wout Weghorst on deadline day, then nothing will.

All the eggs were in the Bilal Toure basket and it was clear as day the lad was never joining us.
