Good morning mates and another very warm welcome to the 5th of August edition of the Everton transfer 💩 show…..

Demarai Gray is really pushing to join Fulham this summer. That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who has claimed that the Everton winger ‘only wants’ the move to Craven Cottage now.

Everton reserves goalkeeper Zan-Luk Leban has secured his Goodison Park exit to join Farsley Celtic on loan for the 2023/24 season.

Everton are reportedly interested in signing Serie A-winning Napoli winger Hirving Lozano this summer, though will face competition from a host of other outfits. According to Mexican publication W Deportes, Everton are pursuing a move for Lozano - with English outfits Leeds United and Stoke City also interested - following the breakdown of the 28-year-old's transfer to MLS outfit LAFC.

TuttoMercatoWeb claims Everton are close to agreeing a fee for Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto. The Toffees have been repeatedly linked with a move for the young Italian forward this summer, but the report claims they're just £2million apart in their valuations

According to the Independent (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United have valued defender Harry Maguire following interest from West Ham United and Everton.

Everton are on track to earn £38million from sponsorship, advertising and merchandising next season, Football Insider can reveal. The Toffees signed a one-year sleeve sponsorship deal with online streaming company Kick this month, adding to their growing list of commercial partners.

SPFL side Dundee FC are exploring a move for Everton midfielder Tyler Onyango this summer, according to the Courier. The British media outlet claimed on its website on Friday (4 August) that The 20-year-old is on their transfer wishlist.

Chelsea are looking to bring in midfield reinforcements before the new season starts and have identified Everton midfielder Amadou Onana as a target. According to a report from Evening Standard, Amadou Onana is on the transfer wishlist at Chelsea along with the likes of Edson Alvarez and Tyler Adams. The Blues have also set their sights on Leandro Paredes.

Everton have a buy-back option and a high sell-on clause in the agreement that saw Niels Nkounkou sold this summer to Saint-Etienne. Saint-Etienne took up the option to sign Nkounkou on a permanent deal worth €2m earlier in the transfer window.

Everton are still yet to agree personal terms with Sporting striker Youssef Chermiti and he won’t travel to England yet, according to A Bola. Writing on their official website (4 August), the Portuguese newspaper report that negotiations between the Toffees and the player’s father are still ongoing and as a result the player is yet to receive the green light to travel to England for a medical.

In a recent report, Sky Sports mentioned that Everton are hoping to sign Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana this summer. It has been stated that the Toffees are eager to snap the Ghanaian wide player in this ongoing transfer window.

Everton have been joined by West Ham and Luton Town in the race to sign FC Midtjylland midfielder Emiliano Martinez and the Toffees can’t afford to miss out on a perfect Idrissa Gueye replacement. Danish media outlet Tipsbladet reported on 3 August that the Superliga outfit are not actively looking to sell the 23-year-old they signed on a free transfer last summer.

Everton has surprised Manchester United by disclosing a staggering £25 million asking price for Jarrad Branthwaite, an unexpected twist in the summer transfer saga.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin would like to stay at Everton this summer. That’s according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who believes the striker would prefer to remain at Goodison Park despite interest in his signature.

According to Moshiri, Bill Kenwright’s contacts and acumen in the transfer window would help Everton as he worked alongside Kevin Thelwell and Sean Dyche. 6 weeks later with 1 week till the season starts and we have a pensioner who was free and a player on loan.

Every single supporter knew what was coming the second he kept him on. Even if he got 2 strikers in tomorrow (which he wont), there would not be enough time to get them ready for the first game. It is a complete and utter disgrace.

Honestly I'm starting to think that the only reason he was kept on was because his payout would of probably wiped out what little transfer budget we have.

No bigger evertonian though lads :dodgy:

Buy back option and sell on clause for Niels Nkounkou - if true - fair play Kev thats clever DOFing.

They are waiting. With the way things are if I knew we'd get at least another two, maybe three players in on deadline day, I'd gladly take it now. Leaving Chermiti aside. But that's the thing. It's not like they have left the deadline come and go and did nothing before.

There won't be anyone else signed before the deadline that goes into the team. I'd expect loans to be more readily available on deadline day so hoping we can at least fulfill our quota on those and use whatever money can be raised from selling Gray.

Unfortunately I would put nothing past them though. Including pocketing the Gray money and not spending it. Hope for the best but fear the worst. Try to get points on the board in the first four games.

I avoid deadline day like the plague now. I'll just check on what went down the following morning. Can't be bothered fretting about non-existent updates and signings. Fellaini was a big surprise out of nothing. I'm not expecting anything, but hope for something
I would be ok with waiting for a few until deadline/nearer for a few more additions, if they had secured a forward but nothing. Chermiti is a prospect too whilst it's good we are signing one of those he's basically going to replace Simms as a third choice occasional sub maybe a couple of starts player. They've only brought in two players to a squad that was desperately lacking last season and has lost two good CBs, absolutely criminal. It all reeks of how BK plays these things too. I am surprised there isn't more anger because the squad is seriously short.

If this is true then everyone (including myself) needs a rethink on big nose Kev’s transfer acumen. Brilliant strategy.

Aren’t Saint Etienne on about selling Nkounkou on this summer for about £7m? So that buyback clause would instantly become obsolete and we’ll receive a minimal amount from the sell on.

We're utterly awful at conducting transfers really, aren't we?

No surprise when we've got the self proclaimed "no one can sell Everton better than me" still sticking his big fat fingers into the pie that is Everton.

There is barely anything that we do that is done which gives me any form of confidence or belief in the people who oversee this club.

Not sure how true this is
