Can't disagree with any of that.
In isolation MacAllister at £35 million is a good buy

The fee for Caicedo is insane. I think he's half decent but thats about it. I put his true value at about £60-70 mill.

Onana , there's definitely a player there but I want to see a lot and I mean a lot more from. At present I'd value him around £50 mill.

I think in this market Onana is far more than £50m but I actually agree with your logic, it's just the market is lunacy. I don't think Onana has shown all that much but he's clearly a good player and will become better. In saying that though looking at Enzo Fernandez, Rice and now Caicedo I genuinely don't think any of them are all that great, yet they're all £100m+ players apparently. The 3 are better than Onana but I don't think they're twice as good for example.

The market is just insane to be honest, £100m+ for decent young DMs makes no sense. Genuinely think to yourself what would Gareth Barry be worth in this market, I'm not even being funny he's easily a £120m player, which is utter nonsense in any reality.

£50mil is insane for Onana. Lavia at £50mil and the other chap for an astronomical amount....the middle ground is £87.5mil.

Theres no way on earth Onana is a £50mil valued player now.

Would be annoying to miss out on the money even if we aren't reliant on it. Moves for free at the end of the season.

Need to be generating cash for all our players from now on instead of the deathloop of free transfers at the expiration of their contracts. That is still probably going to happen with Iwobi, Doucoure, Holgate, Gbamin and Gomes - which is shocking. Need to be generating income where we can.
We have an option to extend Gray for a year. Doesn’t change the fact we should’ve got the deal done, we need money in the door and he’s not in the plans so get it done.

Tosun cost 27m.

Everton manager Sam Allardyce says the club's new £27m signing Cenk Tosun is "the best in Europe" at that price.

Yet £27mil was not the fee.

The manager did not quote that amount.

The BBC is ALWAYS wrong and is full of absolute cretins.

Come on now, everyone knows and have known the benefits of buying primarily younger players. That’s nothing new. What many also appreciate is that having some experience to blend and stabilise is also needed eg Gueye. We’ve also (more recently) not been as best a position to offer regular game time to developing prospects over someone more trusted to ‘get the job done’. Another thing that also is going amiss is our dreadful mismanagement when it actually comes to developing and selling our young players. Gordon is obviously a great example but he was a youth product. Last other one I can remember recently is Stones. We let all our youth go for free or buttons, this resale value is only worth considering when we actually sale them at that mark up value, which we can’t do in any capacity unless we’re fully backed into a corner

Yet under Moshiri the only time weve adopted this approach has been really under Thelwell.
