There’s about 5 strikers in world football that would score 20+ a season in the Premier League. Lukaku is not one of them and none of them would ever come to Everton.
He would guarantee us 10 goals minimum though and that means you almost certainly don't go down.

But it's all hypothetical. No matter how much I would love to see him back, it is not going to happen.

Not wanting to go all Zatara about it (soz mate), but I don't think we do need any more senior players. We already have: Pickford, Young, Coleman, Tarkowski, Gana, Danjuma, Doucoure, Iwobi and DCL who will likely play regularly who are senior pros.

We don't need experience for the wings, as that will likely increase cost of our targets, or diminish talent. A senior CB will likely block Branthwaite. Seeing as we are unlikely to see the back of Godders or Keane, a young, talented CB would be a nice addition there for if Branthwaite is out of form. Don't think we'll be signing any midfielders without sales.

Which leaves upfront. Now, in an ideal world, you would want a proven goalscorer - but they cost money we don't have, which then leaves us scratching around the Che Adams of the world, who is proven crap. So (even though I doubt we are in for him), an Ekitike (I.e. someone with a few more years of senior football than Chermiti) is a much better option for us right now than the former.

Ideally, I wouldn't like any more 'senior pros' coming in at this point!
I think the age profiles we have with the young players are interesting:

Chermiti 19
Cannon 20
Dobbin 20
Branthwaite 21
Onana 21
Patterson 21
Garner 22
McNeil 23
Virginia 23

Of them i can see only the bolded considered as 'guaranteed' starters past the end of the window.

With age ranges between 21-23 and all having played in the premier league its not like any are being thrown in as 18 year olds (like Dyche did with McNeil at Burnley).

With 5/11 players u23 i think we still have room for 2 more u23s to come in as starters.

The Gnonto potential transfer i think would be someone to rotate in for Iwobi/Doucoure at RW or ACM. Likely to be seen as one of their replacements when they leave next summer.

I heard he loves a char siu curry and salt and pepper chips. Him and Uncle Bill would pop down there after the crowds died down and then go and sit in the main stand to eat it while they talked about the great Everton forwards of the past. Rom loved hearing how Andy Gray could never eat noodles following a bad incident in a Chinese after we played Norwich in 1984, and how Joe Royle would always pinch Gordon West’s prawn crackers if he sat next to him. Good times.
I wonder if he told him about the time Kevin Sheedy called Martin Keown crap in a Southport Chinese restaurant, and Martin Keown filled him in?

The thing with Lukaku at least when he played here. If he was put through on goal 9 times out of 10 he’s going to score. I miss that kind of striker. I like Dom he’s a good player but when put through on goal one on one with the keeper. I never get that feeling he’s going to score and he normally doesn’t. For that reason I would have him back also think he would score more than 10 goals for us.
