Summer transfer window 2023

If we actually have 30 odd mill for that Ekitike who we’re unlikely to get I’d be offering that for Richarlison immediately, I bet he’d come back.
Kane sale and new manager makes it more difficult I suppose, he might actually play a bit for spurs this season

Could be a really big player for us this season, he flattered to deceive last year. Tough one, lots of potential if we were building a team but he could be replaced by Garner without huge drop off based on his contribution last season. I’d rather keep him but if we get silly money and reinvested, I wouldn’t be too bothered.

Need to be massive money to even entertain this

When you look at market mate - Caicedo, Rice and Lavia its a high profit market. Two of them went for 100 mill + and Southampton have to take a hair cut due to their relegation.

Id actually think we would be stupid to sell him this summer, in 12 months he could be worth a lot more.

Middle ground is £80.5mil between Lavia and Caicedo.

After the 20% profit clause we take around £71mil. After transfer fees FFP related profit would be £44.6mil on the books.

However, thats where he is today...he may reach the Rice/Caicedo level in a season. So you price closer to that level.

I dont believe United will be spending that kind of money on anyone this summer.

That would be an expensive loan fee.

Studying! *adds to the list*
Ffs Kev why haven’t you moved on to studying more players?

Be surprised if we don’t get another season at least out of Onana. He’s very driven and wants to play at the top level but I think he knows he’s in a good place here where he can play every game and improve every week.

If he can turn in a performance like last week and against Arsenal at home - every week i think hes easily touching a 100 mill pound player - up to us to get him to that level of consistency and performance.

My take exactly mate, he got lost in the last 10 games last season and rightly lost his place, full tilt though hes a player - he and we have a challenge to get him to produce every week.

If United are serious we should be absolutely fleecing them for all those times they’ve absolutely shafted us.

‘Want our 6th choice CB for 30 million? We’ll just wait until the last day of the window, tell you no leaving you absolutely screwed, then let him leave on loan in the next window after not playing him’

As Fergie would say, I wouldn’t sell that lot a virus. Can add Chelsea and Spurs to that list as well of clubs that have taken the proverbial with us for absolutely zero need. It’s not like we’re even competition for them. Quoting us ridiculous sums for fringe players they don’t even need, then even if we agree to pay it they still pull the plug. or buying up a load of players they don’t need in the same position just to screw us (Levy’s favourite trick)

If United ask for Onana just slap 100 mill down as the price then if they agree to pay it tell them we’ll consider it until the last moment in the window then tell them to F off.

If we sign an experienced CB then he'll be out the door in one or two seasons...which is when Godfrey, Holgate and Keane are out of contract.

What we should be doing is bringing in another Branthwaite aged player so we have Tarkowski to guide them.

Otherwise we'll be left with Tarkowski and Branthwaite. Harwood-Belis from City is an England u21 and very good for Kompany at Burnley last season.

Only a year on his deal.
I think you are correct. Harwood Bellis would be awesome. Hopefully City don't renew him, but even if they do would he want to join us? It's a really good suggestion

I wouldn’t entertain it full stop. It’s too late in the window now. Deals like this should be sorted before pre season starts. Sick on Man U unsettling any good players we have. Tell them to Foxtrot Oscar and do one.

He'll probably know some of our young players and i imagine would be interested to form a long tern partnership with Branthwaite for both Everton and England.

I wonder if Leeds could at least loan us Gboto with a obligation to buy. They could do something like what Southampton did with Caleta Car when they loaned him out on Lyon. They are like keepers. He will be back in a year when the Saints will get promoted. There should be a clause in Gnoto's contract, that if Leeds don't get promoted, the buy option gets activated ASAP.
