Discussions with
Alex Iwobi over his Everton future remain ongoing as the 27-year-old enters the final year of his contract. Talks over a new deal for the midfielder
were opened in September after he reignited his Blues career under Frank Lampard.
Sean Dyche said negotiations were part of a wider “ongoing process” of dialogue with players and their representatives.

Leeds United have firmly stated that
Wilfried Gnonto, who has caught the eye of Everton, will not be leaving Elland Road. This comes after Gnonto’s conspicuous absence from the recent Championship face-off against Birmingham City. Everton’s persistence in securing the Italian international has been met with resistance, with two offers already turned down by Leeds. The week’s events took a turn when Gnonto was informed of the club’s decision to retain him for the upcoming season.
Everton have been joined by two new clubs in the pursuit of Leeds United attacker
Wilfried Gnonto this summer, according to
90Min. The English media outlet reported on its website on Friday (11 August) that Napoli and Juventus both want to bring in the Italy international, 19.
Willy Gnonto’s relationship with Leeds United is “completely broken” now and terms are “already agreed” with Everton, according to
Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist reacted on Twitter Friday night (11 August) after his 19-year-old compatriot at Elland Road was the subject of an
official statement from the Whites reiterating their refusal to sell him, and calling his unavailability for the Saturday trip to Birmingham City an “internal disciplinary matter”.
Work at Everton to sign
Hugo Ekitike is “taking place without the knowledge, or backing, of everyone” at the club, according to
Paul Joyce. The Times journalist reported on the newspaper’s website on 10 August that it appeared to be a sign of the “continuing dysfunction” at the club that not everyone was pulling in the same direction with regards to a move for the PSG striker.
Everton are interested in a “structured deal” for Southampton’s
Che Adams amid Premier League competition, according to
Mike McGrath. The Telegraph journalist reported via Twitter on Friday (11 August) that Bournemouth have made a £13million offer for the Scotland international, with Nottingham Forest also “long-term admirers”.
Arnaut Danjuma has now shared what
Richarlison told him about Everton ‘every single day’ while together at Tottenham Hotspur across the winger’s loan transfer last term.
“He is an Everton fanatic,” Danjuma told the
Daily Mail. “I sat next to him and he reminded me every single day, ‘Everton is a beautiful club, you know’. I think it is more beautiful for me to join now and I genuinely mean that.”
Everton are exploring options to sign another attacking outlet, with manager
Sean Dyche hoping to reform the club's attacking verve for the 2022/23
Premier League season by urging Director of Football Kevin Thelwell to make good on rumours of interest in
Leicester City's
Patson Daka, this crucial goal might just be realised.
That's according to journalist Ignazio Genuardi -
via Sport Witness - who claimed earlier this week that Everton have compiled a three-man shortlist to complete their attack this month, with Daka joined by Southampton's Che Adams and Paris Saint-Germain starlet Hugo Ekitike.
