Actually a very promising compilation that. Play style reminds me a lot of Alexander Isak, good dribbler, pacy, strong, floats out to the left hand side and can beat a man. Looks fairly unselfish too so could play in a front 2. Not too many headers or having the ball lumped up to him from the keeper on there though so we'd need to find out how decent he is at that. Hope there's something in it as he's far more exciting that Che Adams.

There's a player there. I just wonder if he can go up another level from where he's at from what I've seen - which isn't loads. Would be a solid signing. I'd be more worried about how we might end up playing with him and DCL potentially playing together.

If there was even a chance of Ekitike on a loan with an option vs this guy though, we should go for the former.

I also wonder how we have taken so long to circle back to a player we were trying to sign in January . If he was their no 1 target, he should already be here tbh.

I have always been engaged by the talent of Gnonto but had questions on the fee and the clubs process of identification. Paying Leeds for scouting I thought we maybe could fetch something in the market a little more affordable with similar upside. But I think the context of this is looking strong for us. It may just be preplanned shenanigans to extract value and let them loose one of their best prospects without fan ire. All that said it looks like the player wants to come to merseyside and is initiating his leverage.

Just to say context of Gnonto coming to us is favorable. Larger critiques based on possible alternatives I think is fair, but considering how unattractive we have appeared on the market and our limited resources, this looks like it may cross the line with leeds possibly losing some footing in negotiations.

But yes, if DCL isn't fit, we might see some variety.

Not sure we should worry about this potential situation. Whoever we sign is our starting number 9.
