Summer transfer window 2023

Can someone explain to me why this club treats August league games like pre-season friendlies and throws lots of points down the drain every season?

I want to hear an explanation from the club on this. And not the usual judge us at the end of the window garbage.
Love that tbh.

"Judge us at end of the window"

"Oops, the transfer market is actually too hard at the moment"

😅

And my response would be that points won in August are just as important as points won in May or any other month

We are a team on the brink of relegation and cannot afford to throw away matches and end up starting terribly again. Any regression on last year means certain relegation

I would also point to the fact leaving business to the final days of a window is a shambolic way to run a top flight football club. And we have often failed in the last few days to get the players we desperately need. Such as the debacle last January where the manager was let down by the incompetence of those above him.

Maybe we should stop handing out 5 year contracts as well, because they often aren't sensible and leave us holding surplus players well after we have stopped using them in the first team.
On the brink of relegation! Jeez. Your cup is well and truly empty dude ! One. Game. Played.

And then I would wax lyrically about how we have had good times and get some Tory bellend boxer out to defend me.

Maybe feed some trusted friends in the media some blag transfer stories and sit in my chair and laugh at what an evil mastermind I am.

Correct. All the new wingers will be on a perpetual fitness scheme until Dyche regards them as "fit fit": none of them will reach the required Iron Man fitness levels and he will carry on playing exremely fit but useless players.
Sorry lads, that wasn’t a recognised Iron Man event - come back and do it next year when there’s stewards and insurance - until then it’s the U23s for you!

Should be untill the very end to aee who we can add to the squad, but agree certain positions like a cf should have been done

Good that we’re getting all these creative wide players. Harrison and Gnonto can join McNeil, Iwobi and Garner in putting in dangerous crosses and creating chances for Maupay so he can miss even more 1 on 1s. Lovely stuff. Who needs a new striker when we have a perma-crock and Maupay who makes Stuart Barlow look like a prime Gary Lineker.

I'm sure I saw someone in here say that Jack Harrison would be the most Sean Dyche signing ever if Leeds go down, and it's stuck in my head. Couldn't agree more, it just sounds nailed on somehow. So I checked out the stats.

- 1.5 key passes per game, which puts him 24th in the league and on a par with Eze, Robertson, Kane, Sancho, Estupiñan and Cresswell. Iwobi is slightly ahead of him with 1.6.
- Joint with Iwobi, Eriksen, Kulusevski, Grealish, Haaland and Xhaka with 7 assists.

The point being he's not terrible and Dyche will definitely sign him so it's best to come to terms with it now.
Just quoting myself from page 70 here lads, a mere 2,254 pages ago.

I hope you took my advice and took the time to accept our new formerly top-knotted winger with open arms. Good signing is Jack Harrison, especially on loan if it's with an option to buy. Look at those key passes per game, phwoar.
