I don't understand people are annoyed at the inevitability of this signing, it was on the cards from day one. we've worked our way down our list, its not worked with other targets so we're at che.

In reality, accept it, strap in for another mediocre season and you'll enjoy it more. lower your expectations and you can't be upset as much when things don't go well...

tbf I think people are at their wits end with this striker search, its more of a just get it done so we can close the book on it. I just try to not let it bother me as much. we live in a fake news world where, if you're a football fan, its sensory overload during the transfer window. the amount of links and articles that set people off...

As with every player coming from the Dutch league there is a risk involved.

It is a pity we couldn't sign him twelve months ago when the fee was a fraction of his current transfer fee... the risk would have been much less then or at least the financial side of it.

However, I think he will do well, but may need time to settle.

Just seen the club put out a fitness update for DCL that he is "back in the thinking for Villa trip". Trying to deflect some of the negative attention this Adam's story has brought.

because we’ve been this way for the past two seasons and it’s the knowing we need a striker

I'd kill for mediocre and it would be close to impossible to lower my expectations.
