I guess we find out once we appoint a good manager.

I'm afraid I'll have to see some working here.
Half the squad can't seem to control a simple 5 yard pass.
No movement, no one apart from Danjuma wanted to take anyone on or progress the ball today.
Keane throwing games at will.
Playing hoofball even when Calvert Lewin isnt playing.
This squad absolutely reeks of relegation, you can only circle the bog so many times.
Edit: Christ imagine first game of Potters reign, trying to get Keane, Tarkowski, Gana, Doucoure and Onana playing out. Nightmare material.
I dont blame Thelwell at all, the ladder was pulled behind him and he is working in different limits then Walsh or Brands were - lets be honest he hasn't had the opportunity to work with the resources of the other two, does some one else come in and do better with what we have? - no, same as the manager - the issue isnt competency its resourse's. In terms of deals done, hes scanned the market for frees, loans who could improve us and had to permo delas on the never never i.e. very structured - that a hail mary market hence Chemiti.
Here's whats happened, the owner is pulling out - there is no more money ,any made is gone to BMD and to capitalise the club.
The remit is to stay up with no resources, that's what Dyche and Thelwell have been asked to do.

Having watched what should in theory be the strength of this team, our midfield, go AWOL today I am inclined to the view that low though our opinion of our team is we are still over rating our talent level.
IMO we have only one player, Pickford, who might start in a top 6 team. We have possibly 3-4 others who might start in other non-relegation threatened teams including Danjuma (Harrison is tbd). The vast majority of the squad is relegation level.
Logically there is no point adding more in the latter tier. We have to find 2-3 more Danjuma level players to have a chance. Adams is not that. Gnonto? A gamble, but maybe.

Silly me, here was me thinking its a managers job to coach the team, give them the tactics to succeed.

Last summer was when Thelwell had a complete shocker. People just didn't want to admit it at the time.
Brighton have taken off since he left. I never seen that mentioned anywhere.........
