Summer transfer window 2023

The links have been saying £15mil which would mean he and McNeil for £30mil. Very good business potentially.

That would be fine for us...kick the position down the road for a season while using Diallo and Mills...and of course selling Iwobi.
Not for me is Jack Clark would be a good deal but will still like more experience. I would like a more proven quality winger for the right side

Im not sure why you are assuming Dyche will favour 442.

I think he saw last season that we dont have the midfielders who can fit into a midfield 2.

We certainly dont have the Strikers.

He used a lot of formations last season and I think he will next season, maybe if he had 3 or 4 windows to buy the players, but only Pep can get away with playing the same formation every week in this league.

Regards the Ath Madrid and Burnley comparison, it hurts my head to even consider it, so im out of that.

I dont think we will go 442, i think we'll stay as a 433/451 side.

Although its his first window, i remember Burnley fans (one a poster on here) saying he doesnt change the team much + i dont remember him having big windows like Forest.

So Im only expecting a couple of new starters and a couple of backups.

I think he'll back himself to improve the tactics and existing players.

I mostly hope that we can finally sell the dross players we have...and use those funds wisely.

I have lost count already of suggested names being bandied around on here. It may be 14 or 15. Let's have a vote for our top 3 choice.Should be entertaining. Send the result to Bill presuming he is still active.

….i take little or no interest in posters aspirational suggestions. I know many links are blag, but signings usually start with a rumour & they at least provide a discussion point.

For example, there’s links to 3 defensive midfielders who are all of a similar type, age and price-tag. Makes me think there could be something in that.

Time for violin nose to earn his dough.

But I will say that Diego Simeone is 1 of the highest paid managers in world football, he doesnt get the big bucks simply for playing 442.
Of course.

Dont get me wrong, id rather we brought in Xavi Simons on the left and Samuel Chukwueze on the right lol

Who are the 3 ? The German, the Uruguayan and...?

Of course they had similarities

Also, again 2011-2013 was not "Prime Atleti" and no amount of googling will change that..

Both had a 442 system (switching to 433 sometimes), similar defensive structure and midfield setup and both played on the counter using direct play.

Im not sure where ive compared Dyche favourably to Simeone...

Everton will probably look like something in between.
Loooooooolz

Heads gone

In a bit Zatman

…Shea Charles at Man City. Looks a bit of a Rodri clone.

I did particularly like the Uruguayan, Emiliano Martinez.

Ahh yes thats the one. Never seen any apart from the youtubes.

For the £3.5mil mooted Martinez would be a safe bet as a backup -- which we need with Gana being close to the bench now you'd think.

He and Krauss both looked a bit like what Schneiderlin was meant to be. Both also mentioned with similar low fees.

Shea Charles i dont think a fee was mentioned. What made you see him as similar to Rodri + do you think hed have more of an impact than their former player Lavia (at Southampton) rated now at £30-40mil :o

….it might have been the ‘kit’ but he strutted around like Rodri, not busy but seemingly in control. I have no idea how good he might be.
