Summer transfer window 2023

I'd like us to swerve Tielemans solely on the basis that the way he phoned it in for a Leicester side marching towards the trap door at the back end of the season was a disgrace. No ta.
This is fair, think signing relegated players is fraught with danger.

Would you do the same for Maddison? Came out and sounded passionate in interviews but all the same, went missing for second half the season as well.

Was he? they went down like but, all things considered, he had a decent season individually.
Granted, the defence was the biggest problem, but he saw an endemic problem with sub-par players across the side (something that should be familiar to us).

At first, a lot of Leeds fans really didn't rate him and he improved significantly. However, he is probably at the top of his level now and that isn't great. We need to avoid players like this. He does work hard, but his levels are poor and he would cost a lot of money.

A semi-realistic striker target could be Nicolas Jackson of Villareal. Just 21, scored 12 goals and assisted 4 in just 26 league appearances last season. Villareal were listening to offers for him, and he was heavily linked with signing for either Southampton or Bournemouth in the January window.
Read that he's likely rmto go yo Bournemouth this summer for about £20m.

Think he phoned it in a bit as well if I'm being honest. Not so much in his actual performances, but every time he spoke to the media after games he sounded utterly defeated.

I know there's a high likelihood of our budget being tight but I will lose my poop if I see an ad nauseum of Everton reports mentioning us considering, monitoring, pondering or other not fully committed terms of supposed interest like last summer transfer

I'd say an unrealistic target,Kind Sir.

The level of persuasion its gona take to just get average players through the door is going to be massive.

We had bog average players from the Belgian league swerving us for Southampton only a couple of months ago because agents and players where getting wind of us being a complete basket case of a club and absolutely nothing has changed,if anything the waters have been muddied even more.

Were looking at window that resembles the Stracqualursi one....in my Extremely humble opinion.

Hope am wrong.

He's defo in the ilk of Sigurdsson (Police charges aside).

Anytime I've seen him he's half-arsed trotting to get back and always looks knackered.

But he'll pop up on highlight reels scoring some Worldies, so all the hipsters think he's a baller.
Swerve, not what we need in this team.

Absolutely. He was a quality player but I don’t want anyone in this team who has at any point downed tools. We had so much of that in the squad already, Dyche and Thelwell are trying to root it out not add to it. There were other players in Leeds and Leicester who were trying their best up to the very end e.g Castagne Harrison Dewsbury Hall. I’m not saying we buy any of these but it proves that being in a relegation fight is no excuse to down tools

Whoever Tielemans goes to will be almost certainly be making him their top earner on account of them 'saving' around £40m in various fees that would normally be associated with signing a player of his quality. I don't think he'll go anywhere for less than around £150k a week, and for me he's not worth that. Obviously if we didn't have a 95% wage to turnover ratio or whatever it is, or if money wasn't an issue, then I'd be all for it.

Weve got 19 players out of contract this and next summer. We also need a bit of experience and quality in the middle to help Garner and Onana.

Use him in an advanced role and he'll score and assist.

Ive been a fan of his since he was about 18. He's a top class player and for you to compare him with Sigurdsson seems both bizarre and peculiar.

Mate's a big Leeds fan. Conversation pre-season: "if we don't get [redacted] dross like Harrison out the team, we'll be at risk of going down again. We desperately have to improve the squad."

He was right.

Indeed he was. Hes dross.

Did he? Whenever I watched Leeds the only handy player who looked a threat was that gnoto or Rodrigo.

Just looking at Harrison's stats, he only scored 5 goals all season, and 3 of them where in the space of about 2 weeks, he scored 1 in his first 20 odd games.

Just don't think he improves us at all, and that's bad considering how crap we are

Strange how being English and playing for Leeds the media like him.
Stop participating in culture wars, it's unbecoming of you. Not everything has to be binary (although this is the internet)

Comfortable on both feet, retains the ball well in his own third and is especially strong at breaking up play and his reading of the game is excellent - generally registers high for tackles and interceptions over the course of a season.

Granted he's not the quickest but when paired in a double pivot with a more mobile CM (as Dyche likes to play) he can run the game. And sure, under Dean Smith and Brodge he didn't look very good, but then who did.

Comparing to Sigurdsson or Gomes is nonsense, he's well out of their league. He isn't scared of tackling, for a start

Tielemans can play DM, CM and ACM. Id have him in the ACM position purely for his creativity, eye for a goal and to have someone at his level link with Garner and Onana.

On a free its a no brainer.

Were Everton football club in the premier league.

An enormous amount of players would love to join us.

Castagne is also class.
