Everyone was impacted by Covid TBF. They cashed in on a good few, in the last widow Fofana, they had Kante and Mahrez to.

Not the point really, its very hard to sustain the models long term - it requires a near perfect success rate - its sustainable for a time - but growth itself almost makes it top heavy, that's what happened at Leicester.

Same thing happened to Swansea who were the forbearers for Leicester, who were the forebeaers for Brighton.

You can have a look at Stoke and Burnley to - but more right then the above left.
The money has made it much more even below the huge spenders at the top. You have about 6 teams that are nearly untouchable for relegation. The other 14 are all vulnerable under the right circumstances. Hopefully with different people in charge and the added revenue of a new stadium, Everton can make that 7 teams.

southampton had a good side as well back in the day with mane, van dijk, tadic, wanyama etc
Goes in cycles. It was us 10 years ago. A team exceeds expectations and brings through good players, and the big boys swoop in and nick them. You may be able to replace them a few of times but eventually it catches up with you. Brighton will be ok and they're incredibly well run but eventually the next player won't succeed and then it can go down hill very quickly.

Will probably get pelters for this but I wouldn't actually want Tielemans in our midfield.

He's amazing technically, but is extremely slow and doesn't really put himself about enough for me

Bit of a highlight reel player who would probably do very well at a team much better than us. At Everton though I'm not so sure.

Not a chance we could convince him to sign anyway mind...

Think he loves a tackle. He's slow, but he's not pedestrian, and reads the game well so I think has the IQ to make up for it.

Some players make it look easy, which is a bit of a curse because then they'll get stick for not seeming to try hard enough. A bit like an Ian Bell sort of player. Crack some cover drives and then nick off and everyone says you're not nuggety enough. Think he's one of them to me.

As you say he won't sign for us anyway, but it's good to chat eh
