Summer transfer window 2023

Everybody celebrating potential departures of Maupay, Iwobi, Gray etc. Rightly so but the worst signing the club has made still remains in Keane. No sign of incomings - this appears to be nothing more than trimming the fat ready for impacts of relegation in the summer. Iwobi is useless but we are so criminally short in midfield and atrocious fullbacks. Some master negotiating from Kev et al, leaving it til deadline day.
Nobody wants him. Rumours are he wil never die because God doesn't even want him back.

Incoming cash £50M

Maupay (say £8M)
Cannon (£7M+)
Iwobi (£22M)
Simms (£6M)
Samuels-Smith (£4M)
Price (£500K)
Nkounko (£1.7M)

Outgoing cash (£38M)

Chermiti (£12M)
Beto (£26M)

Need to push hard for a CB.

Well we will see if hes correct then.

If theres no incomings he called it.
Well tbf it sounds like nothing looks like it will happen now with our main targets. So there is still time for deals to change.

But I am certainly losing confidence. I also have no idea why we aren't trying to get Kalvin Phillips on loan. We could at least tick off one problem area with that.
