The transfer fees this summer probably paid back that bridging loan.

First things first...let's hope we don't get relegated.Well first of all we hope against hope that the cash flow problems are solved by next summer by fresh investment or new ownership. This summer things have been really bad but that's caused by a unique and hopefully temporary perfect storm of circumstances.
Regarding the instalment payments, these things work both ways and as of the last accounts (which will be pretty out of date now but indicative) we were owed more in player payments than we owe other clubs so it's not just a one way street.
There will be a tonne of work to be done in the transfer market of course, but that's always the case. I imagine we'll probably see at least one big sale, most likely Onana, although DCL's contract expires in 2025 so I imagine we're hoping for a better season of fitness to cash in there.
Iwobi wasn't on 100k a week, I think he wanted that figure, at least that was the rumour, he was on more like 60/70kMina 120k
Iwobi 100k
The rest would be on more than 230k between them wouldn’t they?
I do t know the number but even 450k a week is basically 25m a year which is good from our point of view

It's not like GOT posters to catastrophize and exaggerate...This is a bit of a dramatic spin on next summer. For starters it's the first payments that are due on Beto and Chermiti not the full whack. A reasonable estimate is maybe 12-15m going out not 40m. We don't really know the terms of any of our transfers but there will be instalments flying in both directions as there always are.
We've cashed in on the most concerning contract expiring (Iwobi) for more than probably any of us thought possible. The other contracts expiring (excluding loans) include some massive earners and probably total about 25m a year saved. If we do want one more season of Gana due to a lack of bodies we have an option and Doucs I'd think would sign an extension IF we want.
Yeah, we'll be short on numbers (not quite down to 12 though) but as with this summer the players leaving the club will be players who should be leaving the club and the better players will still be here.

I think too much has been made of the structure of our deals, I don't think we can pat ourselves too much on the back for agreeing payments over several years for players when (1) it just seems to be how every deal is done these days and (2) people forget that we'll be paying installments for Onana and McNeil this year. Also, do we really think we got all our outgoing fees up front? The only one I think that's true for is Gray as Saudi clubs probably do have money upfront.
Think it's important to also remember instalments coming in too. If my interpretation of this is correct then as of June 22 when these accounts go up to we were owed 80m in payments for players we've sold? (With corresponding trade creditors at 30m)I think too much has been made of the structure of our deals, I don't think we can pat ourselves too much on the back for agreeing payments over several years for players when (1) it just seems to be how every deal is done these days and (2) people forget that we'll be paying installments for Onana and McNeil this year. I think late October unfortunately.
I’d imagine if that’s true, with the signings we made it nets out at around a 400-450k per week saving on wages, given I’d imagine Beto’s on a good salary, plus we’ll be paying wages for Harrison, and DanjumaAbout 700k sounds about right.
And about 250k on the incomings.
So about 450k saved, yes.
Yeah, agreed, some things get over-analysed when they're things that've always happened but we as punters just didn't think about them. I posted that really cos there's been a few "how are we going to afford our instalments" posts and the truth is it's all in the mix with other instalments out but also a huge amount in instalments likely to come in (Richy, Gordon, Kean, Iwobi etc), as the last accounts show at that stage we were owed more in transfers than we owed.Yeah I agree mate, but in short I think you should just look at the total fees. Because anything you're owed you can borrow against, and anything you still owe should be taken into consideration before you spend. I just don't like people trying to make out we've spent nothing when paying 25 mil for Beto now is the same as paying 25 mil for Beto over 2/3 years. Obviously, we have to do it this way with our financial state, but honestly most clubs manage larger fees like we have.
