That is a great skill. It is interesting that more players haven't perfected that ability. It is like getting an extra 10-20 corners a game that are more difficult for the goalie to catch.

Stoke definitely benefited from Delap's throws. That said, the RS had less success despite hiring a throw-in specialist. Gronnemark even stated: "I know we could score a lot of goals in Liverpool with long throw-ins, but we'll have to take eight or 10 long throw-ins every game to get there." On average, there's 21 throw-ins per team, per game in the Premier League.

In short, it can work but it's not as simplistic as just throwing the ball into the box to cause havoc.

When Delap was doing it it was almost literally impossible to defend. Hard and flat, with great accuracy. I remember them coming up and us dominating the game but those throw-ins were just a nightmare.

Sounds like he's saying Dele is a robot. if that's the case, we should send the robot back to Spurs and cancel that loan, then loan the real Dele who must be still in hiding at the Spurs training ground canteen

We should have signed Dave Challinor from Rovers when the Pigeon botherer was in charge, imagine Ferguson or Super Kev on the end of them missiles, we’d have never been at the wrong end of the table every year under Walter
