I understand we dont have that money ti spend. Thus, there is little news that linked with us. But there is also a few news for our players to leave. I expect Maupay, Holgate and Keane will leave.

Best buys over the the years have been second string keepers at other clubs behind decent keepers.

Fabianski , Emi Martinez , Bernt Leno etc

If Pickford is sold for Top Top money I'd be trying for Ortega at City or Lunin at Madrid.( they'll want 1st team football one day)
Kelleher looks decent but they ain't letting him come here.
I'm not sure why.

No way Ortega will come here.

Agents are insane if they let managers of mid/bottom of the table sides sweet talk their players. Americans joining Leeds had a nightmare when they binned off their American manager and got relegated, players joining Southampton because we didn’t really have a manager in Jan now desperate to escape. Onana wanted for play for a midfield legend that should have been binned off before Xmas and then his own form plummeted since Jan. Managers are the most disposable people in the club because they get paid off when sacked so it can be done in 10 minutes and everyone walks away. Would take weeks of HR meetings to sack a Finch Farm grounds man for urinating in the canteen.
Lampard out of work….we could just recruit him as an ambassador of the club to ply his trade and sell the club during any transfer negotiations when dealing with players and their agents. He would be a great sell….’Everton is a fantastic club, one of the big five in the 80s and 90s, nine time league winners, five time FA Cup winners, one ECWC. Their fans truly live and breathe the club and are the best in the country. They have really got the club over the line in the last two years relegation battles…..’ Seriously though a couple of things he did have going for them was a domestic and international reputation as a player, and he was articulate about the club….I thought he represented us well enough and really tried to create a bond between the fans and the club (as hard as that was given the sh1t being offered up and the general state of the club)

The hope is you use the excess money to sign good outfield players and even though you maybe drop a few points because the keeper is slightly worse (that doesn't even have to be true but I don't want to get into that) you also are more competent generally and win more points by being a generally better side.
Yes I think we could get a decent keeper for free.

Just those moments where you need the Star to save you. We'd have gone down without Pickford, either in 22 or 23. That's a fact.

How about we bring value players in that haven’t already played for the club? We say that the scouting is poor and lazy, and then recommend someone who has already played for the club because they are cheap/free and available - there appears to be a contradiction there.

Seen the Pickford stories. Mirror and star carry little weight. I don’t think he is a player we can afford to sell. Also don’t think he would be a first choice option for United. Can’t see it happening
