I think we have to go for a creative player. I know people think just spamming strikers at a goal scoring problem fixes it but there are creativity concerns, there are midfield concerns and there are tactical concerns as well.

The problem here is we are abysmal at finding those (unless they are luxury players that we can’t afford to put on the pitch aka Siggy) plus we already have the blueprint in our midfield. We likely will utilize the Gana/Onana/Doucore/Garner combinations and that is fine if we find direct players that will chip in crosses and get down the field. The search for a traditional number 10 or creative winger likely won’t be this year.

Nah the oilman is 100% spot on with this. We can't simply rely on crosses into a big man, it's way too predictable and it's easy to play against at this level. We need more creativity in the team and have done for a while. Strikers are pointless if we don't make any chances for them and especially if Iwobi does go then we will need someone.

We won’t be too 4 quality but we can still create goals if we get striker and winger sorted. We almost positively will not find the creative player we need in this market- we aren’t attractive enough for anyone decent.
