Yep possibly, but I was thinking a local lad (as in North of England), only 27, just one year into his Man City career so plenty of time to do well with us and get back into the City fold (there a Euros next year as well and he’s only two years in from being an England regular). There would ebe other suitors of course e.g. possibly Newcastle but if we don't ask we don't get. I think hes the type of midfielder Dyche would love.
Perhaps they'll let us borrow Haaland as well.

Whatever you're smoking, can I have some?
I have no idea what you’re on about. The question was whether we could try to get Phillips on loan if we sold Onana. You said we could afford half of his wages. Philips is on 160k a week so if we paid half the salary it would be less than the 100k a week we pay Onana.

Agreed, it’s just where do you draw the line between investing for now with no real medium term to longer term value and investing for the future? I think there is too much risk still for us to invest in youth if they are not quite ready for this level. Ultimately what you are saying is where I’d want to get to, but off the back of two season relegations (so not just a one off poor season) we simply cannot afford to do it at the moment, I would want a minimum number of positions and points clear before thinking about it.
It's not really one of the other for me. I'm not suggesting investing in youth as in teenagers. I just want players who won't be 30 when their initial contract with us ends. Those guys can be ready for this level.

Are You for real? Do you have a clue what you’re talking about? I’m asking a general question about looking to take an out of favour midfielder and you’re talking about one of the two best strikers in the world? Yeah let’s go for him as well 😂😂😂

That's all fine
But we also need to stay in the league
There is no player between 21 and 24 that is better than Harrison that we can realistically attract/afford
I highly doubt that. We have to scout which we don't do so we won't find them, but the player certainly exists.

It’s a tough balancing act for sure in our current predicament

No, I said we couldn't afford half his wages. And that presumes City would let an asset go like him and still pay 50%. They wouldn't. Wolves didn't with Coady and I don't see City doing it with Phillips.

When fans say that fans of other clubs are deluded, this is exactly the kind of talk they are on about. Not a chance on this earth that Phillips would come to our crackpot club.

You should be the first customer in line to see the new comedian telling a cracking line about Phillips screwdrivers. It's a rip roaring event.
