Good point mate. You are swaying me now to think the club should change negotiation tactics - not to maximize his value, accept a 2 mill bid, because Chris off the internet isnt a fan of the Rumbelows cup. lol

Actually, only 2 goals helped us stay up.

What bit makes him more valuable to us, is it the amount of times he loses the ball and doesn’t track back or his ability to slow our counter attacks down

Just looked it up 3 of his league goals were in draws and the other a defeat. When you put it like that, we'd have been relegated without him. Makes him worth about £100 million to us. I know he's not worth that but that's how important even 3 goals are to us.
 

Might be reaching but i wonder is Gray declaring for Jamaica part of the attraction, going forward i think the Saudi approach will be to secure and maximize media coverage and having geographical representation diversity by having Caribbean representation and attraction may be an enabling factor.

That and his Steller Milk Cup scoring record. lol

I looked it up scored in 3 draws and one defeat. On transfer market website can't cut and paste the link on my phone.
Really amazing how important 3 goals I've a season can be. I agree he's not very good, but can we afford to sell with out replacing? Especially how transfer fees have a habit of disappearing, with us.

Obviously we have to sell, but just pointing out even someone as inconsistent as Gray is important to us.
