To be fair opening a thread about signings before we know what division we’re going to be in was always going to struggle to attract much in the way of exciting content. The present Apostropher Royal, Sir D’Anville O’M’Darlin’, concerns himself these days with such urgent issues as the tendency of “trendy publishers” to replace quotation marks with colons and dashes, the effect of which is that pairs of unwanted inverted commas can be illegally shipped abroad, split down the middle to form low-grade apostrophes and sold back to an unwary British public.
Meh, does anyone? I’ve had a bad week in real life and you’re wrongly pulling me up about something I literally do for a living. It’s small fry but it’s annoying. Most times I’d ignore it, this week I’m stressed so I bit, it happens. You can chalk it down as a win on the board I have no doubt you keep.
