We must spend big this summer. No messing about. We're owed a few big signings after January.

Seem like a good club for youngsters to be at right now. He’s not ready for the big stage like Jude was, it’s the right move for him as Sunderland will likely be in the promotion race next season

Turing Test? How do we know this bearded scotsman bloke is for real
We can't spend big though until we get our wage bill down, it's 90% of our turnover at the moment and it needs to be 60-70% and that's with new signings included. We must spend big this summer. No messing about. We're owed a few big signings after January.

I suspect some of it will be the huge media arm we seem to have which protects Kenwright and co which consists of seemingly around 100 people. I also think some of the players are on way more money than what people think. If someone like Mykolenko is apparently on nearly £60k per week then god knows what some of the rest of them are on (I dread to think tbh) I think there will be cutbacks both on and off field and they are needed as we have to start managing our finances better.Id like to see a wage break down at the club for the whole club, i know the players would be the majority, but the squad is not exactly big or as big as it was as the bill remains stubbornly high as a % of turnover - we have one of the best paid boards in the league and seems we are appointing someone or other every other week and still signing lads from Burnley - if you know what i mean, it needs a root and branch review in terms of efficiency.
