Because he's a good player in a position we desperately need, and we have a very limited budget and need 6-8 players in.

I have that concern. I bet Kenshite (Thewell probably isn't working on it) doesn't even fill out our loan spaces. Almost like he wants to purposely get us relegated.

Because the people in charge of our transfers seem unable to think outside the box, and only focus on relegated teams players, and players scouted in previous seasons. Pathetic if true

Lonergan is a training partner for the other keepers , Virginia is simply not good enough, we need reliable back up in case of injury to Pickford.

Re Heaton, maybe Lonergan hasn't accepted his deal? Like you say I don't think you'd want both Heaton and Lonergan as your two backups.
