Just name another manager who would realistically have taken the job and kept us up when Lampard was sacked...just one. So Dyche took us to the next level, from nailed on relegation to staying in the division. The next level will be mid table comfort. Or do you know a manager who would get this squad into Europe at the end of this season? This is genuinely getting ridiculous now. I am fully aware Moyes finished outside contention for European places in 03/04, as he did in 05/06. However between 02/03 and when he left, he had taken us to the next level. But could not take us to the one after.
Your (and a couple of other posters') desire to be really pedantic to defend Dyche is so weird. It really is. I've said my piece over multiple posts and made my points. What you are firing back isn't a defence of your position, it is just pedantry. Let's agree to disagree. As I said on this matter several posts ago.
I think we’ve easily got enough as is to finish lower mid-table in league one.I’m fine with the squad as it is tbh
BoringTime to once again mention that Simms who this forum is mostly adamant can't make it in the PL had a better rate of goals and assists than Piroe did in the same league last season while also being younger.
Lets face it, nobody knows anything much about him unless we have some weirdos who watch Swansea every week.Time to once again mention that Simms who this forum is mostly adamant can't make it in the PL had a better rate of goals and assists than Piroe did in the same league last season while also being younger.
Oh I've never seen him play but I'd expect if we were paying actual currency for a championship striker they'd have better numbers than the guy we're trying to sell for less.Lets face it, nobody knows anything much about him unless we have some weirdos who watch Swansea every week.
I'm impressed you can type wearing a straight jacket.I’m fine with the squad as it is tbh
Numbers are not everything and would only be relevent if we are planning on bringing the rest of his team mates with him.Oh I've never seen him play but I'd expect if we were paying actual currency for a championship striker they'd have better numbers than the guy we're trying to sell for less.
We were 4th favourites for relegation when he took over, we weren’t nailed on for anything. You’re sounding like big Sam. And his stories on talkSPORT on how he kept us up.Just name another manager who would realistically have taken the job and kept us up when Lampard was sacked...just one. He does seem abit Meh.Piroe is a championship level striker, much like Simms is. He will struggle in the Premier League, much like Simms did. I don’t think he’s worth pursuing.
Right, again you are being ridiculous. There are lots of managers who could do what Dyche has managed so far. You are now moving the goalposts to managers that were available at the time and talking anout Europe. Which does nothing to answer the question of whether or not Dyche is a good manager.Just name another manager who would realistically have taken the job and kept us up when Lampard was sacked...just one. Somerville if it helpsSmall town boy is a song by Bronkski Beat, who’s lead singer is Jimmy Summerville (and not the Leeds winger)
Your stamina is admirable. I gave up hours agoRight, again you are being ridiculous. There are lots of managers who could. You are now moving the goalposts to managers that were available at the time. Which does nothing to answer the question of whether or not Dyche was a good manager.
So for example, if I said (because he was mentioned by someone else a few posts back) that Unai Emery could have done it, you would then say that he wad at Villa and wouldn't have taken the job. Likewise, if I was to say someone else like Matthias Jaissle, for arguments sake, it isn't something that can be proven as he hasn't taken the Everton job.
Whereas there is a large body of evidence that Dyche is not a very good manager and is certainly a backwards thinking one. Your logic you are employing is totally specious and the moving of the goalposts each time in some mad defence of Dyche is bizarre.
For the last time, I don't rate him, he has to prove himself by developing as a manager. You clearly love the fella to defend him so vociferously, we don't agree so just move on and stop trying to be 'clever' by trying to prove something that can't be proven.
