As we all know we're probably interested in alot of players whether we do everything about it is another thing
Yeah which is the painful side to it.

But I would still be happy if we did go for him, and can actually see it happening as he's the type of player dyche would push for..

As concerning as things are, this isn't remotely true. If hypothetically they shut the window today and made everyone play with the squads they have I'd still be pretty confident we could finish above the current squads of at least three of Luton, Sheffield United, Burnley, Bournemouth and Wolves.
Bournemouth and wolves are better than us Burnley have a good manager and decent side depends who else they add, Luton will be buzzing and could start the season well but going to be hard for them. Sheff united will be around the bottom I’d imagine honestly don’t see how you’re confident of finishing above any of them 5 teams when we’re weaker than last season and absolutely crap we still could have a points deduction to contend with, the clubs the laughing stock of the league we truly are an embarrassment unbelievable how low we have fell as a club never mind the poor squad.

Villa is another strange one. Constantly spending money and yet never seem to be cautioned by anyone.
Well, to be fair in a season where you make the Conference league, they will make 30 million more in us just by table position, and maybe another 8-10 million from the prize money for the Conference League. Table placement can literally just be a 20-30 million swing in what you can spend each year. Though of course that doesnt make up for years they didnt place that high.
