I honestly don't think Simms is anything to write home about.

It wont stop his fee being 8m from now till the end of time.Key phrase I'm seeing there is 'fee up to 8million'.
Guessing clauses all over the show depending on goals, promotion etc.

Anything else? All of the contracts that ended.
All the contracts that ended dont give us money to spend.
Technically.
It lowers the wage bill, which in theory gives us more to spend, but in some cases, the players who left may possibly have to be replaced.
In some cases.
Thats why hes moving for less than 8m mate.I honestly don't think Simms is anything to write home about.
It’ll be reported has £8m on the accounts; which is the most important thing for our state of financesKey phrase I'm seeing there is 'fee up to 8million'.

I don't think he was given a chance really. He was used in games we were very likely to lose or brought into games too late to make any impact. There were flashes that showed he had a footballing brain, I thought. Anyway, we'll never know now.I honestly don't think Simms is anything to write home about.
He can finish but doesn't have the movement or awareness to be a lone striker. He has to have chances made for him and play in a two. Might develop into a half decent PL player might just stay at CH level.I honestly don't think Simms is anything to write home about.
Yes knew there was a few more. Talk of Warrington going for 1m too.Nkounkou 1.7m
Simms won't be 8 initially but even so there's the best part of 15m there. Adds up.
We have made zero progress at improving our squad a full month after surviving by the skin of our teeth. Given that the eternal chairman is still in situ, there are no grounds whatsoever for optimism next season. All the talk of "never again" and "lessons must be learned" and all that jazz a month ago has given way to low level delusion. Nothing has changed. There is every likelihood this gets far worse before it gets better. Sure, we might survive next season, but there's every possibility now that the last two seasons were simply us circling the drain and next will be the one where we finally get flushed. When we look down the bowl, Everton will be gone, but still floating in plain sight will be Bill Kenwright...because it was never "the right time" to get out the toilet brush and help him down the pipes.Unless you’ve got either a crystal ball or a DeLorean you can’t say anything for certain until a ball is kicked in anger
I agree as long as Kenwright is there and involved in recruitment we are in trouble. However the fact we have been selling off players to get some kind of funds makes you think deals will happen maybe I'm being overly optimistic. We have made zero progress at improving our squad a full month after surviving by the skin of our teeth.
