I agree as long as Kenwright is there and involved in recruitment we are in trouble. However the fact we have been selling off players to get some kind of funds makes you think deals will happen maybe I'm being overly optimistic.
I don't blame people for being optimistic, but I don't share it. This regime's history suggests we are selling off the young players because we haven't got a pot to pay tribute to. Real change meant regime change. What we got was a few sacrificial lambs thrown under a bus driven by the Chairman for Life. He had to go. Moshiri too, at this point. I'd love to imagine that Kevin Thelwell has suddenly become tremendous at his job, but, you know...

He can finish but doesn't have the movement or awareness to be a lone striker. He has to have chances made for him and play in a two. Might develop into a half decent PL player might just stay at CH level.

Yes knew there was a few more. Talk of Warrington going for 1m too.
Yeah, and add in a reasonable fee for Gray and we're heading towards 30m in without selling a key player, and almost all of it is pure profit too. Work some instalment deals and that 30m can stretch to 2 or 3 times the amount. I do think we'll start to see things happening now.

You're not being overly optimistic. Deals will be made and players will be brought in. It may not be exactly what we want and the problems at board level may remain but there will be some changes before next season. Let's save our gloom for when things go wrong on the pitch...I'm sure there will be ample opportunities for that

I don't think he was given a chance really. He was used in games we were very likely to lose or brought into games too late to make any impact. There were flashes that showed he had a footballing brain, I thought. Anyway, we'll never know now.
He just looked cumbersome to me. Certainly not prem standard and im not sure if ever really will be. I don't like dissing our players but he just never set the world alight in any way.

Good to see players going out and actually receiving some money for some for a change.

Add that to the hefty salary of Mina and the others salaries of Davies, Townsend, Begivic and Vinagre and it looks like an overhaul is very much in the cards.

If we can ship out Holgate, Keane and Maupay too, happy days.
