Thats the issue is itself and probably shows our finances are worse than we all think. Waiting another month to sign anyone is madness and suggests to me we're still hamstrung.

Would love to be proved wrong but got a horrible feeling we're going into Fulham woefully under equipped.

Not necessarily the case. The fact we are selling before buying doesn't necessarily mean the budget started as nil - it's pretty sensible to do your sales first then you know the total budget and can work out how best to distribute it across your areas of need.

But yes, we need them in before Fulham, no starting the season under strength. Still 5 weeks though.

Fee isn't bad for a striker with a year left on his deal who's scored one top flight goal.

He might come good, but my money says Championship is his level. He'll have a decent career, but he's not quite Premier League standard IMO

It’s great news mate, we‘ve basically pulled the guts of about 20 mill from academy developed players in the last 6 months.

That’s money we previously haven’t been able to raise.

Great for the club and academy.

Then loan in a LB, a keeper and a young winger

Think Simms will do well in the championship, he did at Sunderland, he’s not ready for the premier league, but if he scores 20 goals there next season he will be worth £30m
